Morales got caught for using something for shedding the weight. It's not really a performance enhancing drug. And it can be found in meat which is what he said happened. But if he was taking something to help shed weight, that is not the same as HGH or steroids. He was just trying to make weight.
Tszyu never had a chance. Hatton's dirty tactics would never have been tolerated if the fight was not in England. That's the only reason he won. Tszyu tried to retaliate against Hatton's dirty fighting but he wasn't good at that, he's a fair fighter.
The gloves come from the factory to the arena, Maidana never touched the gloves, Mayweather camp was just trying to get Maidana to use Grant. Maidana should just use Reyes now.
One of the times I was involved in neighborhood boxing matches, I was dropped multiple times, I did not beat the ten count on one of those knockdowns. We all fought each other so I boxed 4 different dudes. I was the smallest so I got knocked down by 3 of them knocked out by one. Stopped on an accumulation by one, and the other guy I knocked out. Oh to be 14 again, talk about a headache! And then just got up the next morning like nothing ever happened. Damn that was fun! A few years ago I sparred my friend and he got me with a shot to the side of the head that stopped me in my tracks, I was still standing but in a real fight , he would have finished me. I have an ok beard against guys my weight. Most of those guys that hurt me were older and way bigger.
I've had friends that had puffy nipples, even in jr.high school. So were they on roids? I don't think so. That's just the way they looked. Look at Clifford Ettiene, that dude had major man juggs, and I don't think he was juicing.
I remember watching a lethargic Ali vs Spinks 1 at my babysitters house when I was like 8. Later on watching Leonard vs Hearns 1, when I was like 11. Through the early 80's I would always check out top rank boxing on espn. In the late 80's it was all about Tuesday Night Fights! Also, Tyson, from 86' onward. I always loved boxing. I saw Holyfield vs Qawi 1 on live network tv. In February of 2000, I had the pleasure of catching Morales vs Barrera 1 on HBO, I felt like I was on drugs watching that fight, It was Incredible! Since then I have been more of a hardcore fan, and collected over 500 fights on vhs during the early 2000's and still follow boxing to this day.
Oscar just recently made some big moves, like ousting Shaefer and fixing his relationship with Arum. I'm sure as long as he keeps moving in this direction he will eventually have a relationship with his son, but you can't do all of that at one time. It's a little much to expect him to fix everything in like a month and a half.
I think that Sergio wanted to box the first half of the fight and then turn on the offense but he got caught by surprise and it did shake him alot, including his knee. He was hurt and went down awkwardly, So the game plan never was able to kick in and he just got beat up.
Actually Canelo is Ducking GGG. It's the Middleweight division. Canelo can't make GGG come down to 155. Canelo can weigh whatever he wants but he can't tell GGG that he has to weigh in under the limit. If Canelo won't fight GGG within the rules then he is clearly ducking him.
I think you are talking about KO kings 2000, that is the one that had flash knock downs and knockouts, it was usually pretty accurate but sometimes you get KO'd by a jab KO kings 2001 was good too and also had flash Knockouts........good times, I still play KO kings 2000, it's a damn good game!!
Gabriel Ruelas vs Jimmy Garcia. Garcia fought tooth and nail for every bit of it but you could just see he was taking a beating, and then he actually died, that gave me chills for sure. I was watching it live on tv.
Dawson was def losing the fight, he did get rocked by Pascal but hung on and was coming back. But dawson didnt throw enough. Dawson rocked the **** out of Pascal with that uppercut in the 11th, if he would have went after him and cornered him he wouldnt have got butted. Dawson should have just run over Pascal from the first round and we wouldnt be having this conversation. Dawson has great power, he needs to use it.
One among the greatest fighters to come out of mexico. Call me crazy but I think if Morales wins his next fight and continues training we could see a couple more good fights from him. Morales still has some pop at 135, he put down Hernandez and Chavez at 130 and put down Diaz at 135. I have been a fan since Morales/Barrera 1 February 19th 2000 at the Mandalay Bay, I was watching on TV of course but I was so amazed at Morales's toughness on that night, I watched every fight of his ever since that day, got every payperview. And all the while I have been a solid fan of the sport watching practically every FNF HBO, Showtime, PPV whatever. But the PPV's have gotten ridiculous so I don't get all of them anymore.
On ********* they said some of the cards could not be found and that's why it was read that way. I don't know when they were found or what. It was also stated that the guy was coming on against Viloria in the second half of the fight, I would like to see that fight. Sounds like some homecooking might have been going down.
I thought Paul's volume and being the agressor would possibly get him the nod and it did. Lara's potshotting with the left was very effective but it didn't really affect Paul all that much. Paul should easily be able to anticipate that punch, jab and feint a little and land some hard punches on that little squirt. He definitely fought the wrong game plan and did not adjust after he started getting potshotted, I don't see it as a robbery, Lara just did way better then anyone expected.
This has some validity. I mean, Ali survived the Cooper incident and the Frazier 1 incident. It took Schmelling many rounds to finally get Louis out of there. Holyfield survived a Gnarly onslaught from powerful Bert Cooper. Ever scene Fraziers fight with Ron Stander? These are very comparable to the Challenges of Rahman and McCall to Louis but these other champs survived and won. Lewis was great but it was mainly because of his size ,reach, and safety first style. If he was just average height he probably would have been KO'd more often.
Pavlik is good he had his moments, the cut on the right eye definitely hindered his vision which sucks against a fast guy like Martinez. Pavlik actually showed some good reflexes and quick shots in the fight until he could'nt see. I think with this experience he can come back with a better game plan and we could see an even better fight. Congrats to Martinez he was the better man tonight, but he does'nt have any power at middleweight and that will be another part of Pavlik's new gameplan.
