The fourth and final group of laws, in which we are dealing are the glorious BS laws of the irreligous, non-sciences, that don't involve the state. That's what we're talking about today. These laws are seldom inviolable, but merely aspire to general meta-type usefulness if their underlying requisites are met. In the case of Betteridge's law of headlines, which states, "Any headline which ends in a question mark can be answered by the word no.", the general meta-type usefulness comes from the working assumption "The reason why journalists use that style of headline is that they know the story is probably bull****, and don’t actually have the sources and facts to back it up, but still want to run it." which is abundantly clear in the case of this thread, as opposed to it being a law of the universe, god, or the government. Betteridge's so-called law is empirically disproven daily, with numerous headlines in hundreds of different languages that ask a rhetorical question with the answer to that question being "yes" rather than "no". exactly man, good points.. first there was antonio margacheato and now there's marcos el cheato maidana! it looks like almost a case closed on this one, el cheato been using these compromised gloves for years.. should he be banned from the sport? When Maidana opens his defamation suit against the Mayweathers, this post will be used as part of the evidence in the case.
