i want to know ..... how does it feel ? will you be embarrassed ? i dont mind a lost but i sure in the hell dont want to get K.O in front of a bunch of people lol
I blacked out once for about 5 seconds due to dehydration combined with extremely hot weather but I've never been knocked out in a fight, although I have been knocked down a few times.
Not yet, but it will happen eventually, getting knocked out has to be one of those life experiences everyone should try at least once. Whenever I've gotten punched on my head it just rattles for a split second, and i keep on plowing, but I bet a good one on the chin would do it. Sure does it for everyone else.
Personally I dread getting suckered punch to the mid section more than getting put to sleep I've actually experienced that, and I must say I wish I would have been asleep through that one.
Elbow to the lower back of the head. I was sparring with this other guy, but that was back in Argentina and the concept of dirty fighting isnt as clear as youd think :D. Scumbag shot though, I could have gotten hurt bad. I didnt go down but I should have. Sometimes its healthier than staying on your feet. The next day I had what felt like a quart of blood under the skin where I was hit. Needed a scan just to see if it was all ok but it all turned out well.
Oh, actual KO, about 12 years old or so, fooling around on the beach, I jumped from a deck towards the sand, and missed a chair in that same spot. The back of the chair hitting me right in the stomach. I just went night night and woke up looking at the sky, all these heads staring down at me. Felt like being in a coffin. :p
I have been knocked out twice in my life.
Once in a streetfight as a young man. I was very drunk so no pain until I sobered up and realized my jaw was broken in two places.
The other time was in the ring, took a hook to the jaw and lights out.
Not that bad really, just like a switch being flipped off and on again.
I would actually prefer to be knocked out clean that take cumulative big shots to the head.
I am surprised by how few of the posters here have never actually been KO'd to be honest...
I went down numerous times when I first started, but it wasn't from being knocked down so much, as just still learning and not having good balance. So you get into a tangle sparring and basically fall or trip over.
But that was just typical beginner stuff. The other post were the only times i was properly all over the shop.
i've been down twice in sparring. it happens when you spar better / more experienced fighters. the idea is to get better.
i got up and finished the round. i really wasn't close to out, but was definitely getting touched up good by guys who knew how to put punches together.
the hardest i've ever been hit was playing hockey. the worst i've been "hurt" wasn't even a hard hit. i was exhausted, and took a hit to the chest / head area. i lost a tiny bit of time while my head was flying back. maybe a quarter of a second. i did't even go down, but my legs weren't 100% until i got back to the bench and poured water over my head.
i played hockey for 15+ years. sometimes, i forget stuff that i shouldn't be forgetting. it's a bit troubling, considering that i'm not that old. i used to get headaches during hockey season. i really haven't had one since i stopped playing. i used to think it was normal for a 16 year old to wake up in the morning with a headache.
I've taken far too many wicked, flush shots and never went out so I suppose I'm resistant but the main concern should be health, not pride. I really regret some of the damage I've taken and hope it doesn't catch up with me some day.
Once with a shot right on the liver, which basically made me give up boxing, because I was drinking too much, partying too hard and not training enough, and it was that which made me realise it. Still the most painful punch I've ever taken by far. I was in agony for ages, and I swear its still tender today from it all these years later. So, while I've never been knocked out, the body shot dropped me and I would've been stopped if it was in an official match.
The only other time, I got caught with a wild right that busted my nose across my face. That one didn't hurt at all though, and i didn't even realise it until our coach stopped us and said I was wobbling about and there was blood pissing out everywhere.
The body shot though, I'll never forget it. It still makes me wince. If I wasn't in the gym, I would've been crying like a little *****.
never been KO but been KD in the ring and out in street fights, kinda hard not to get KD if you're in enough fights.
Street fights yes, classic sucker punch to get you knocked down that's the only time I've been knocked down.

Nice sig brah, beautiful punches from the GOAT, Ali
I've been sparked by a sucker punch. . . lovely little white flash, I got up n start a fight but to b honest I didn't have any legs . . . Wasn't knocked out cold though
Didn't remember a thing... it was rather painless.
I was told I was laying on the mat reaching for the sky and gasping for air, but who knows. The moments after were kinda scary. Very dizzy, buzzing sound, couldn't remember sheet.
This was in a wrestling match though. While boxing, I've only been buzzed, never KO'd.

when i was in the 4th grade dis boy skipped me in line, and u was like woah u ****ing skipped me and pushed him thinking we was gonna have a pushing contest....this bastard left hooked me....i fell to the floor i think i saw stars
I gat my payback later in the school year tho.. lmao
i got dropped in sparring. But i was off balance, I was fighting a guy who had over 80 fights meanwhile at the time i probably had 2-3 and i was off balance and he hit me with a good shot on the chin. Felt a bit weird but not much.
But i've been wobbled on a couple other occassions that were much worse. In one of my fights i was beating the guy easily but he was a huge power puncher... in the fight i fought him before that he broke my nose. This fight i was outboxing him and about 30 seconds left in the 3rd he threw a massive left caught me on the chin, i dropped my hands for some reason cause i was dazed, he threw a massive overhand right caught me again so I grabbed him and then the ref gave me a standing 8 but then i ended up finishing and winning the fight. I felt super wobbly and dazed in the ring when they called out the decision, but it was a wicked experience, reminded me of a wild war, but i held on to finish with the W so it was worth it.
I've been dropped once by a body shot hurt like hell I had been taking em there for awhile to but after a while I was dead tired and just couldn't take that last one lol the guy out weighed by a good 60 pounds to I managed to avoid his head shots thank god but I knew he wasn't putting everything on them either but he was quick so the speed alone mad em hurt aha. I've never been dropped by a head shot been stunned a couple times I remember I got hit with one shot vs this really tall guy I was faster then he was so I was landing a lotta punches on him lead right hands and all that so I started to figure I could do whatever I wanted got to good for my own good and got lazy and he when hit me with this shot it came outta know where stiff left hand right in the middle of my face it felt like my nose got pushed into my face didn't really hurt tho but it got my attention another guy hit me with a body shot that was so hard I had moved my hand in the way of where the punch was headed I had sixteen ounce gloves on to but none of that mattered the power still went through and almost made me throw up my chocolate milk.
