In my opinion this is the real main event on the April 11th PBC card.
Not really interested in Garcia's 143 Non title, Catchweight BS fight.
Who you you have The Irish man. Andy Lee or The American Peter Quillin?
How do you see the fight going?
Hoping Lee wins...thinking quillin drops him a couple of times en route to a decision with Lee putting in a great effort
The Irish "traveller" is stubborn, doe... He like the pikey in "Snatch", doe... :)
... So did Haymon forced the Irish to fight Quillin in the U.S.? I wasn't even aware of this...
Lee is so big, doe... And he has so very long hands... :)
Quillin will embarrass Lee. Make him look amatuer. Bank it.
That's ironic given Quillin only had 15-20 fights as an amateur and it shows. Doesn't help he'll have been out of the ring for an entire year and has only fought less than 2x a year for the past 3 years. He struggles with focus during the mid to later rounds of his fights. Throw in the possible mental distractions he may be going through due his public backlash.
Andy's biggest flaw is that he fights down to his level of opposition, and subsequently struggled with some of his stay busy fights. But in his biggest fights vs Chavez, Vera II, Korobov he's sharp and shows great control and aggression. The version of Andy that fought Chavez & Vera II beats the version of Quillin that I've been watching fight Guerrero, Konecny, Rosado, and N'Dam.
In all those fights Quillin was open to the right hand and ate them. Quillin has a strong & fast right hand of his own, but he lunges with it. One of Adam Booth's best qualities is designing drills to help his fighters learn how to set traps on their opponents.
In fact if you think about it, Peter hasn't fought any big punchers yet to date, yet he's been hurt pretty bad vs Dionisio Miranda early in his career and more recently vs Rosado. Andy's been hurt vs Vera early in his career, vs Chavez who had approx. 20lbs on him, and vs John Jackson (where Andy dropped to 154lbs after never having been lower than 158.5lbs in his career).
Quillin by KO. The man does have legit power.
Apparently Billy Joe Saunders gets winner and fights on the undercard, I'd favor Quillin by KO there as well and I'm sure that will set up Quillin vs Jacobs sometime in 2016.
Seen Frank Dubya on IFLTV the other day. He said that BJS isn't fighting on that card anymore. Plans to put Saunders and Eubank Jr on the same card sometime.

A few years ago I would have picked Quillin because Lee backed out of the fight to fight and lose to another fighter. At this point I am not sure. Maybe slightest edge to Quillin.
Why is the Garcia fight a BS fight cause it's at a catch weight? It's not like it's for the belts.
If you can't make the weight at 140. Be fcking man and fight at 147
Garcia is a *****. No defense for over a year. Fighting Rod Salka?
This ****** is a disgrace to boxing. He knows he would die in the ring against any top Welterweight.

Rooting for my fellow brit but I think Quillin will KO him, Rosado said Quillin hit as hard as GGG if not harder and we know what Chavez did so I think Quillin will stop him.
quillen is the better fighter imo, but fighting a lanky southpaw with one punch KO power is never an easy task. lee is more clever than people realize and he throws that sneaky right hook with a lot of power, quillen tends to keep his head in the air during exchanges and this could very well be the night it costs him.
quillen can punch himself though and with both hands, lee isnt the most durable guy in the world and he tends to be a one trick pony. like i said i think quillen is the better all around fighter and should break lee down for a KO in 8-10 rounds if he doesnt get caught.
as much as i dislike the politics surrounding this fight, its actually a really good fight stylistically and should be very competitive as well. im looking forward to it.
I'm rooting for Lee but I think if it goes to a decision the title has already been bought and paid for and will go to Quillin.
Yes, I think Haymon is crooked and when he dies they will screw him into the ground right next to Don King.
Lee puts on a clinic, breaks down and stops Quillin late.
I have to agree. Lee is the better fighter in my opinion. I'm going with Lee by Decision or late stopage
