Before im labeled as a "Rican Hater" my father was born in PR; I can't see him beating Guerrero Maidana Porter Thurman OR Brook
I just don't see it.
Nevermind Bradley Floyd or Pacquiao.
Danny hit his peak; oh well.
lol, i saw all this in danny last night, really slow missing widely, with no power to hurt a guy who was dropped by bradley and couldn't cut the ring at all
Danny did not get enough solid connects with the Garsh early. Peterson did a great job of not getting Garshed. The 165lbs also helped peterson at this weight. Peterson out of range and using his reach advantage. Had Danny's jab falling short all night.
Have never really believed in Danny being elite now, or in the future.
Not judging Danny on his performance vs. Peterson as I think Peterson is a solid opponent. Maybe he'll prove me wrong, but I just don't see it.
U guys do realize Peterson is actually very good right? Ppl sleep on him bit he has the potential to give every fighter from 140 to 147 a very hard fight. He's not an easy out. I just don't see why judge Danny harsh on this one.
At a 147 weigh in I think Peterson would've been less weight drained and would've started faster and finished stronger. That could have then resulted in DG getting stopped.
In a rematch at 147 I put my money on Peterson!
I dont know what to make of Danny Garcia anymore
Has he peaked?
Did the Lucas fight take it out of him?
Is he struggling with his weight/weight drained?
He looked very basic yesterday, even hurt at times. Lamont isnt a big puncher, so i was thinking maybe Dannys punch resistance is going, he is very easy to hit and takes too many shots.
I think he needs a new trainer or someone who can teach him how to cut the ring off and teach him basic defense. It cant be healthy taking that many punches.
What i saw last night was a very beatable Garcia, i wudnt be confident in picking him against any top 10 ww

I agree about Peterson. But Garcia did look like crap, or ordinary at best.
Maidanna gets his azz kicked by Garcia. He's so slow and can't box to save his life. He relies on his wild punches that don't land and his power which wont win him the fight. Rios will go toe to toe with Danny and that will end up getting him KO'd. Thurman is the one guy that beats Danny with his speed and power.

Like I said, he needs a new head trainer.
He can't consistently struggle with a certain style as long as he has.
Bad style for Danny? Sure, but the flaws haven't been corrected in 3 questionable bouts. I don't think Angel knows how to.
Agree with this.
Of the top Welterweights in the world (bar Floyd and Manny) who do you Garcia beats my list would be:
Beats: Rios, Chaves, Guerrero and Porter
Losses to: Brook, Khan, Bradley, Thurman
Undecided: Maidana
I'm honestly not even confident he could beat Chaves, Porter, or Guerrero.

Yeah there's no doubt, Lamont's a tough out. He's a good fighter no question about it.
But like Danny said pre-fight, "Lamont's a good fighter...but I'm a GREAT fighter."
If that was true, and DG's fans like to think that it is, then he wouldn't have been getting walked down, toyed with, and dominated for the majority of the 2nd half of the fight.
Danny is supposed to be held to a higher standard.

He looked just as bad if not worse last night than he did in PR against Herrera. Zero improvement. I don't think there's any question he needs a real trainer and not his retard father, but I think the odds of him making a change there are at about 0.00000000000001%.

Depends on how they treat his left hook.
If they treat his left hook as something to be avoided Garcia has huge issues, if they go in there thinking they can walk through his left hook they will find them self in a real fight.
How he has not worked on a straight right is what makes me sad, if you have a great left hook it is your responsibility as a fighter to balance that **** out so you are a two handed fighter.
He was very effective with the straight right last night against Pete and was catching Zab with it too a bunch even knocked him down with it. As a matter of fact he dropped Salka with a straight right too the first time...
He's got a pretty solid straight right IMO.
Garcia is moving up according to Angel. Did I hear him right? 4:25
If I heard him right, that gives Matthysse's fight with Provodnikov extra significance. Whoever wins that will be #1 or #2 with Herrera.
Danny clearly won but *IF* he can stay at 140 he should, but judging by this fight it seems he might not be able to. Peterson "El Mata Moscas" was getting away with trying to fight all like JC Chavez at times and had Danny backpedaling alot. Danny still clearly won because if he wasn't blocking Peterson's punches, Peterson was missing badly. That Danny that was back pedaling last night was clearly NOT THE SAME GUY WHO STOOD HIS GROUND AGAINST AND HURT MATHYSSE AND MADE MATHYSSE GUN SHY AND SECOND GUESS HIMSELF. My guess is that Garcia will be even stronger, maybe even much stronger, at welterweight than even the night he shocked the monstrous Lucas.
P4p best troll thread I read today. What about the monstrous herrera? The one who roughed him up on the inside? How would danny do against bigger men like maidana, porter or guerrero? All of whom love fighting on the inside?
