I thought Jones corner cut man wasn't good he wasn't stemming the blood..he should have used grease. .... Roy Jones is a legend and a warrior they asked him if he wanted to continue and he said he was ok.
Ive never been much of a Floyd fan, even though he is a brilliant boxer plus he has a clever business awareness, Floyd plays the villain very well and is good for the sport. Everyone loves someone to hate.
Where as i think Oscar who also is a great boxer plays the mister ultra nice guy but really is a very astute business/conman (Oscar v Pacman for instance) who has persuaded a lot of people to part with a lot of money watching over hyped and mismatched fights is the real cancer for the sport.
Oscar is the biggest conman in boxing today.
i think Hatton has reached his peak..i was really looking forward to a Mayweather fight ..but it seems more and more unlikely now...its amazing how quickly things change.
Floyd has never faced a pressure fighter as aggressive as Hatton...thats what Hatton brings to the fight..12 rounds of constant relentless pressure....can Floyd handle it..we'll have to wait and see...can't wait till they fight..its the biggest fight in boxing to dedicated fans..
Ice man...that was a great bit of writing...a great start...gripping middle..and all wrapped up nicely with a great change of direction at the end...excellant..
most of the time its an acknowledgement that they felt the punch be it hard or whatever..sometimes its a compliment..sometimes its a "is that all you can do thing"...i think that its best to show no emotion...its kinda like a poker game dont give the opponent any signs
Cpimp
Donald Curry welterweight was considered pound for pound best fighter in the world at the time i think 1986
upstart Honeyghan from England went to USA and gave him a good beating, Curry quit at the seventh
im so glad Witter won this fight...now we got Hatton v Witter to look forward to..i see Hatton being too busy for Witter..TKO mid way thru...a good fight
now all the big Russian and east European kids are seeing their guys winning world title belts it'll snowball and there'll be even more coming through, making Americans gradually decline and lose interest.
Russians and Eastern Europeans are just much more hungry plain and simple.
i think when we look at the past we compact the time and era's together, thats why it all seemed so exciting in the past.the heavywieght div has always seemed dull..untill you get an exciting fight every two years..its always the same..we quickly forget the dull periods and just remeber the highlights..
PBF is pfp 1 ..no doubt....but i just get the feeling its another legacy fight...all be it a cheap legacy untill he consolidates each division he passes thru...if he does that then he can truly be an all time great fighter perhaps even the greatest..
