hatton prosmisted me and all the rest of fans that we would get great thing at 147 and all we got was a scappy performance and only 1 fight. now im starting to think the hitman isnt good enougth for mayweather marg and baldy what u guy think he should do to make things right?
I still have all the respect i had for hatton before if he does stay at 140 permanently there still is great competition and oppurtunities at the weight
I have alot of respect for Hatton, but as a US fight fan I'd have to say he hasn't showcased himself in the US well, the Collazo fight gave us more questions then answers, & personally speaking i don't think he'll look much better against such a skilled fighter like Castillo, if he does then I'd be very impressed.
Hatton has not been able to follow up on the Tszyu win and the year is closing down. These fighters dont fight enough per year. Two times? Even the UFC guys fight more times per year.
now that would be a disgrace. IF he was to win fights againts cotto and castillo then why wouldnt he stick around?
He wont win those fights, so it wont matter. Hes going to lose one of those, period.
They were at their physical peak between the age of 22 and 27.
Excuses for Hatton vs Collazo:
1)Hatton is past physical peak
2)Hatton only had 6 weeks to train for 147lbs
3)Collazo is a lefty (Lefty=Kryptonite to Hatton supposedly  )
4)Hatton's best weight is 140lbs
I'm thinking there is only one realy reason and its called Collazo. Collazo is the only C+/B fighter Hatton has faced that isn't 35yrs old or older. Any B-ish fighter will give Hatton problems and has a good shot of winning. Any of the Elite fighters would dominate Hatton.
i think Hatton has reached his peak..i was really looking forward to a Mayweather fight ..but it seems more and more unlikely now...its amazing how quickly things change.
Dude, you'd have to be some kind of retard to suggest that Hatton has been anywhere near his best in his last three fights? WTF.
He's 28 years old, it's a scientific fast that a sportsman reaches his physical peak between the age of 22 and 27.
so explain Lewis and Hopkins to me please.
No, he has not. He will never fail his fans in Britian. He has, however, failed me and all of his North American fans. He is a money hungry punk.
Bullshit. The money shit has nothing to do with Ricky, that's RAY Hatton (the scum of the family) and Ricky just goes along with his daddy out of family loyalty.
Hatton is just getting started. If he were to retire now, he would be seen as a major letdown. Why is JuyJuy acting like Hatton is past his prime? He just beat Tszyu, he's the best he's ever been and probably will be. Oh wait, I forgot. A built-in excuse for all British fighters is a must, right JUYJUY? Cuz if Calzaghe or Hatton loses now, it's only because they're old men in wheelchairs, not because their opponent is better.

Hatton is doing great as far as I'm concerned. Is he not still the RING champion at Light Welterweight? Considering there is still some potential great fights for him at that weight, I don't see him as failing to live up to the hype. I do believe however that leaving Frank Warren was a big mistake.

i really dont like u atall
can he change his style up a bit?adapt? In 5 years he will be 32, what Castillo is right now, very similair fighters except Hatton holds more.
Well, that's just it. Hatton is in boxing to excite fans and give them their moneys worth - that's the way it's always been.
He definately has the tools to out-box his opponents, but that's not what he's about.
We want barn-burners against the Gatti's, Castillo's and Corrales' - instead of Ricky just out-boxing them all.
its a shame I see him in the best divisions making the best fights.why cant he stay away from the pub and train seriously for 5 years?
Five years? WTF.
He's already past his physical peak, at 28, which his 'style' relies upon. It is sad, but he is still around, is still undefeated and is still wanting the big fights.. so there is hope.
