Shakes his head to say you never hurt me does that mean he is always hurt ?
To me it DOESNT always. Jones does it alot in his career, when he was hurt you knew it. Quartey does it often with a little grin. Winky Wright does it almost everytime he gets hit ( watch the Mosely fight, he did it every time Shane hit him )
Pacquaio likes to add a little dance with his hands in the air ( see Morales and Barerra fights ) Delahoya does in often too but hard to tell if he's hurt or not. In the first Mosely fight he did it a lot but I know Shane hurt him in that fight.
WIth Jones though in the first Tarver fight you knew he was hurt everytime he was on the ropes and got clipped with Tarvers left hand yet he kept shaking his head like "nope" that didnt hurt! lol
Theres no point to this thread really...I just thought it was an inresting topic of discussion.
most of the time its an acknowledgement that they felt the punch be it hard or whatever..sometimes its a compliment..sometimes its a "is that all you can do thing"...i think that its best to show no emotion...its kinda like a poker game dont give the opponent any signs
I agree, from personal experience. My trainer always told me to have fun in the ring, because when I didn't have fun I was less intense and lackadaisical. When I would get hit with a big punch, it was more shock then getting hurt, and you're inhibitions go out the window. I just laugh or say something funny, even at the expense of a clean shot on the mouth. It gets them angry and makes them take more chances than they were previously. If a boxer is making me back up, the only way to get me to the ropes is by having a really hard jab. I try to make them lose their composure by the way I come back after every hard shot and make derisive lampooning jokes and getting inside on my man. Believe me, get them ticked off and they will start winging wide punches where I can counter inside on them with my own left. He'll stop using his jab and come with the lead rights, which is like affording me a blank canvas for me to counterpunch a masterpiece on. Boxing is many times more psychological than physical.
Your responses.
Are weak.
See.
I can type like you.
And sound self-assured and relaxed.
When really.
I'm out of ideas.
You're so.
Predictable.
:D
You honestly need to find something better to do with your time.
You haven't made one single point....other than some strange little critique followed by more rambling.
You're angry and you need to go have a drink, or take your meds.

Lol. It was obvious that Mosley couldn't even touch Winky. Winky dropped his hands and Shane threw bombs and still couldn't hurt him.
Winky was hurt but didnt want to show it. He wobbled a little bit and even the commetators said he was hurt, I think Winky wanted Mosely to hit in the head but he hit in the midsection.
That was a dumb move by Wright but he won the fight anyway
What are you rambling about?
You've established that you're easily the number 1 Taylor nuthugger on this site.
On top of that....You've stated that you recently started watching boxing, and that explains many of your posts.
When you heard Lampley screaming as Taylor landed on Wright's gloves, you jumped out of your seat because of the "Popping Noise"
You're predictable as ever.

umm that wasn't me. I've been watching longer than you, I'm sure.
So basically you can't defend yourself?

yea, but i find even odder is when a fighter nods his head! what is a fighter trying to do when he does this?
stevie johnston did it once or twice last night. Ur basically telling ur opponent that hes powerful and that his punches hurt!
I guess it could be used to give ur opponent the wrong impression and get a mental edge, but it still seems wack to me
SOme fighters nod there head to aknowledge that the other guy has given him a great shot. Delahoya does this frequently.
In Pac's case....I think he is legitimately hurt. He seems to only do that when he's getting the short end of the exchange.
Wright never is really hurt when he shakes his head and smiles. That's a showman's tactic, and he's been doing that for twenty years.
thats what I meant when Winky shakes his head everytime. He does it almost consistently everytime he gets hit whether a jab or a straight punch.
The Taylor fight was different though, some of those shots had to stun him and maybe even hurt him but his natural reaction is to shake his head like "nope" he didnt do nothing to me!
Mosely punches didnt even phase him though , nor did Vargas and I am a big Vargas fan.
That's bullshit, Taylor was hurting him.
I couldn't help but notice how fighters you don't like are hurt when they do it, but not the fighters you like.
The Italicized it moronic.

but it better not to show anything not glint of emotion.
Why?
Because once you opponent know that your hurt he will come charging forward.
I remeber in Ouma vs Kofi( not sure about the name)
Ouma got hit with a big right overhead right straight on the chin but he kept coming forward, he even did close his eyes. Roy Jones was in the commetator and said a guy like that seen a lot of things in his life so a punch wont scare him. It made Kofi really fustrated because he was a strong puncher
I think some guys might smile once they get hit with something good. I think Rahman said he caught Lennox with a punch and Lennox smiled and then we all know he knocked Lennox on his ass.
90% of the time they are admitting they got hit with a good punch. Every time Byrd goes "Woooo!" it's because he got hit square in the face for example. They're not always hurt, but they are always shook up when they respond like that.
