well it doesnt look like gatti - hatton is gonna happen.
cotto is tying himself up with other opponents too.
so its likely that hatton will forget his fight with oktay urkal
for a clash with the champ, baldomir. so who is your pick guys ?
i think it will go the distance for starters, just cant see hatton
landing harder shots than gatti did, even if he lands more shots.
i also dont think baldomir is good enough to outwork/outbox hatton
although id expect him to make it a very gruelling affair. hatton md
id defo like to see a hatton - collazo rematch first tho.
baldomir could rematch gatti then maybe gatti - hatton could
happen afterwards providing both win thier respective fights.
i think ricky will give baldomir alot of punches with power, if rickys cos and not broken up every 2 secs then he can punch his way to win, if ricky won, he will comfirm to be there with mayweather but if he lost id say carlos has done very well and is a very good boxer. i just worry bout rickys height hes only small in there. its a fight i wanna see.
a win for hatton ud a battle, but it might be different.
I disagree!!! :D Ricky the CLINCHMAN Hatton is a very good dirty fighter. And holds the number of clinches in British Boxing History.
fuck you with a smile :D
hes also unbeaten
since your a Die Hard Hatton fan... whats new about him? did he learn new tricks aside from clinching?
to tell you honestly I really dont like dirty fighters and you call him a great boxer? hahaha! :D
not great. but definately very good.
he definately has far more technical ability than just hugging.
his array of shots is impressive and hes very durable, taking shots
to land his shots, his body attack is brutal and hes got good footwork.
stfu :p
Baldy by UD... 147 is not for the "clinch man" hatton
he rather take John Ruiz as an adviser to learn some new tricks. ^^
we have a hater :p in da house
only thing hatton has the advantage in is speed..other then that baldomir wins..and i think easier then you would expect
i really think hatton is a great boxer, but didnt really show it against collazo.
id definately expect hatton to ko judah, gatti, cotto & tsyzu (again)
which would put baldomirs performances in the shade
he's not American so they are going to hate.
he has been very consistent as of late taking on worthy opponents
u got some cred. back homie
in another thread, you said Collazo wasn't a good opponent when I suggested Margarito fight him! CALLED YOUR BULLSHIT

Thank you I was worried that I had lost your respect for a while... if I ever had it. LOL.
The old Tszyu who had dominated the division for years and KTFO Zab Judah. You could say that Koz was rusty or old or maybe Hatton had his number. Styles make fights. And I think that Hatton is clearly world class. You don't have to like his style but he is not John Ruiz. Yes Hatton likes to wrestle on the inside but his punch output and KO ratio is a lot better (especially considering Ruiz is a HW). Tszyu was a great champ and you've got to give Hatton the proper credit for beating him.
That being said, I think Floyd wipes the floor with him but that is more of a style thing than a skill thing. Also Hatton beat Collazo which shouldn't be discounted. Collazo is tough and that was Hatton's first fight at 147. Can he get a little love.
Baldomir takes out Mini Ruiz with ease.
Hatton is just not world class and how anyone thinks he is is beyond me, He beats an old Tszyu and all of a sudden he's great, come on now.

I never see it as a fighter who is fighting at a weight class too small. Its whatever weight you can make in my book. I think the only legitamte reason to critize a fighter for not going up in weight is if there are really big fights up the immediate weight above.
I would like to see Hatton at 147lbs not because its his so called "Natural weight" but because as a fan I believe there are more interesting possible matchups in that weight.
Once again, I'm very subjective on the weight issues due to my heavy wrestling background. I never felt pity for an opponent who was weaker or who I knew weren't in the correct weight class. My mentality was they just didn't have my determination.
You should'nt criticize Hopkins because he was dedicated all these years and worked out religiously in order to stay at middleweight.its true he kept in amazing condition to make the weight.
and i definately dont want to diminish his achievements as hes still
set a top standard, albeit against arguably naturally smaller fighters
well he started at light heavyweight. lost.
dropped 2 divisions to dominate for more than ten yrs, with a single
loss to middleweight king, roy jones jr. then to finish his career he
dominates the guy rated as the best light heavyweight in the world.
if he can dominate tarver in such a fashion wtf was he doing at
middleweight.he didnt even take fights at super middleweight, instead
opting to fight middleweights, light middleweights, welterweights and
anybody else willing to step up. hes a great but could of been greater
