Wow, what a d**k, hope hes finds the guts and step up to 168 where there's better competition, i think any of the 6 in the SMW tourney would beat the shit out of him (yes i will include Taylor in this) and i could think of another 2 or 3 guys at 168 that could bust him up real good.
I'm going with Kessler if this thing unravels the way it's supposed to, Froch is good but a bit overrated (he was looking very bad vs Taylor, he showed a lot of heart though) and i don't know if Abraham will have the same power on bigger guys.
The problem with that is that mosley showed what margarito is WITHOUT the plaster.
I agree, Mosley owned him, because it is a bad matchup for Margarito, so he'd probably lose again to Mosley, just like Margs is a bad Matchup for Cotto, and so on.
Plaster or not, the guy is a great pressure fighter and always exciting to watch, i'd like to see whoever it is (including Mosley) to get in the ring with him now that he has something to prove
Hi everyone, this is my first post, i'm picking Kotelnik by decision in this one, that is of course if Khan doesn't get hit with something powerful before that. Very good fight nonetheless
If his poor chin is exposed again i think it would be hard to go on, that said, he's very young and Roach can make him better on defense, so i can definitely see him after this fight even if he's KO'd
Barrera vs Morales for me, all 3 were great fights, Gatti vs Ward is a really close second in terms of Action, as for Vasquez vs Marquez i think there were some factors that kept it from being the best, (fewer rounds, etc)
Vasquez & Rafa have been inactive for a very long time, the last Rafa fight was a joke, Caballero hasn't done enough, and where the f**k is Chad Dawson in here? and if you have Caballero you might as well put Wlad in here too
i'd say WW
Mosley
Berto
Clottey
Williams
Margarito
Collazo
you can add Cotto or Mayweather but i think this 6 would make it more entertaining.
140 Lbs would be nice too
I agree that there's still Bika, Bute, Andrade and Balszay out there, maybe an 8 fighter single elimination, but i wouldn't go as quickly as 2 months, at least 4 or 5 would have them well rested and ready for the next fight, if i could i would take out Dirrel and Taylor, and add these four.
If floyds beat marquez even I will give him mad props..If he than beats pacqioua after marquez I wll even sa hes one of the best ever.. However, If he doesnt fight pacqioua after if he somehow beats marquez critics will stil say he was just a very good fighter.. He need both fights
I think it goes further than that, why come back to fight a couple of Lightweights, why isn't he seeking WW competitors, i think he's a very good fighter, but until he fights at least two of Mosley/Cotto/Williams/ i will not be able to put him up there with the ATG's
Catch weight at 144 sounds fair to me...make it happen. This would be a hellva fight if both sides can come to terms with the weight and money issues. I'm all for it.
I'm not a big fan of this Catchweight fights, but they offer interesting matchups, this is to me the most intriguing fight we can see in 2009 if it comes to happen. but IMO Pac should go all the way to 147.
Why should it be any different than when he did it vs Oscar, that fight seems to me a bit bogus now that Pacquiao refuses to go all the way up like he so easily did last December.
But anyway it might be, it would be a great fight if it happens.
All the promoters would have to agree to show replays of events and live events. If Golden Boy, Top Rank, and the other big promotions wanted to work together to make it happen it would be done, but they don't. It would cost big money to start it up, and 24 hours is a lot of time to fill each day.
I agree, but there's got to be a lot of video of fights out there, some documentaries, some bios, i don't know, maybe a daily show with all the happenings, rumors and shit, there's a lot of fighters out there, and all the sanctioning bodies and promoters could get some coverage as well, i thin that would cover 24 hours a day.
Sorry, but if there's a rematch i think Margarito takes it as well, it's one of those matchup things, just as ig Margs gets a rematch with Mosley he's gona get owned again. That said, i'd love to see it happen and if there's a trilogy, count me in as well.
I'd have to agree with the dude that brought up Pipino, i didn't know his exact record before he got the title match, but he defended it for a while after that. Thanks for the info on this.
i ****ing hate Freddie Roach, he's the most obnoxious and overrated trainer out there (yes that includes Floyd) He gets too much credit for Pacquiao, he's like the Phil Jackson of boxing, i hope someone would shut his stupid fuking mouth for once.
Both Lewis and Resto are 100% guilty on this one, Collins' death was caused by an accident, but still leaving a man blind and beaten in such a way, KNOWING you have an illegal advantage is a crime anyway you put it.
I don't have the least sympathy for Resto, he deserves living like the bum he is, he's admitting that he knew what Collins had coming and still decided to go through with it, what would have happened if they didn't got caught? Ever stop and think about that, would they have done it again?
i love how people in here make it seem as universally undenniable that Margarito had plaster in the Cotto fight. It's never against any other fighters, he used it only vs Cotto apparently because he was caught trying to use it with Mosley.
You are all wrong, there is udisputable and undenniable evidence and scientific facts that point towards Chavez Jr as the only person entitled to have this distinction.
