46 wins is a very impressive record but do you think he as had many real tests. I think Roy Jones Jnr would of definitely beat him at his prime but even at the end of his career he knocked him out in the first round.
Calzaghe fans hype up the Eubank win :lol1:
Eubank took the fight at short notice. His record was 4-2 coming into the fight. Eubank was planning to fight at 175 for a world title. Just to make weight Eubank entered a 2 week weight draining regime.
None of that matters. Once upon a time Eubank was a really good fighter.
whats the latest with Kirkland?
still up shit's creek...i think they keep delaying his trials tho...that might be a good thing cause from what i hear...he's getting not just the book...but the whole damn bookshelf thrown at him...
always gave it his all, never stopped throwing punches-gota luv the guy
Yup....not overrated....i know he would of troubled any top SWM champions....Dunno if he would of won against RJJ in his prime...but calz is 1 hell of a fighter...not his fault his division was so dead when he was champion...
Not overated imo. He has some great wins like Eubank, Kessler, Lacy (hasn't been the same), and Hopkins. I still think the Hop fight was on of the ugliest fight of all-time. But he got the victory. He is the greatest SMW of all-time. I think Jones H2H is greater at that class. I just think if he fought at LHW he would have some problems.
To bad we never got to see him fight Toney or Hop at 168. Mchalski (sorry about the spelling) was suppose to pop off to. Wouldn't blame Joe for not going to Germany to fight him or Ottke
I really wished we could see how he would do against Glenn Johnson when they were suppose to fight those 3x. That would have been a great test if you ask me.
But I respect Joe
all u yank lovers talk crap what world champions do u have
Kelly Pavlik
Cory Spinks
Paul Williams
Shane Mosley
Andre Berto
Timothy Bradley
Lamont Peterson
Steven Luevano
Brian Viloria
No he gave him a boxing lesson (9-3 rounds) so there was no need for a rematch.
The most ppl here have no ****ing clue what they are talking about? "Jones KO'ed Calzaghe in the first round."
The whole comparison with Jones is bullshit². Only because Jones MIGHT have beaten Calzaghe prime-prime, it makes Calzaghe a lesser fighter? Look what Jones did to Toney, who is still completely overrated because he is a fat yank.
i didn't care for him...he could have proven a lot more over here if he wanted to be considered the greatest...i know he won't go on many top 10 lists...

Roy Knocked out Calzaghe in the first round?
