Greatest Rican fighter Tito, Ortiz, Gomez, or Benitiz

All Puerto Rican Fighters get Ahead of Them Selfs Too Early, Thats One Thing My Step Pops ALways Tells Me . .

Been done to death, it's Gomez by a long shot for me. I know most here are young and only remember Tito but Gomez was the best PR fighter ever. That guy was amazing....

i dont want to pretend like ive seen gomez and benitez fight so many times.. ill have to review their fights before making my final say :cool2:

Carlos Ortiz for me,Really started our style and was revalutionary for his time. Carlos Ortiz!

Carlos Ortiz was a great if not the best Lightweight. But he was a more technical boxer and never had that defining win, he did beat Busso, Laguna, Elorde and got robbed against Locche, but he never had that defining win. Skills wise, he could hang with any LW in the history of boxing. too sad his resume is not as ood as his skills Great fighter indeed!!! Good lookin my dude. I watched Ortiz vs Elorde last weekend. That KO was nasty and very underrated. I'm not a Rican, but yall history is one of the best ever in boxing. I was a huge Tito fan along with Jones, Mosley, and Floyd.

Gomez is the most skilled, with Trinidad you just had a warrior who never gave up(Huge fan of him but I'll never forgive his shitty performence with winky..)

Tito had 16 consecutive title defenses, but Gomez had 17 and all won by KO, a fit only done by him in the history of the sport. Plus Gomez resume isnt a joke either kyum yum Kobayashi Lopez x 2 Cruz Zarate Jimenez Mebdoza Perez Valdez Ndukwu - great prostect and Gomez ruined him, like Tito did to Vargas Holmes Chava Sanchez - Lost ny KO Meza Rubaldino La Porte Nelson - Lost by KO Lockdrige Plus the dude was 1 of thh greatest AMA fighers from PR. His resume wasnt a joke either i agree.

Uh...no. You must be young and I understand you love Tito but Gomez was the best PR ever, period end of discussion. The guy was a beast, his resume was sick and his fights were legendary. Tito never really had a defining fight IMO. I thought his best fight was his battle with Vargas but I wouldn't put Vargas up there with the competition Gomez fought against. I also think that Tito lost to DLH but was given a gift. Nothing wrong with losing to DLH because in his prime he was one of the best at that weight. I repsect Tito but talk to the old timers and they will let you know, Gomez was the best PR has ever produced and I think it will be a long time until we see a fighter like him again. like i said before ,everyone here has an opinion,In mine and yes i was alive during the Gomez era and i do remember the Gomez fights very well but in my opinion Tito had better opposition

Gomez by far!!!! Tito was great, but he didn't have the skills that Gomez , Benitez etc. had. Tito= Lots of power but very limited skills.

Gomez easy 3 division Champ, he have a record 17 straight titles defenses by KO, and a very good resume. Plus as a amateur he was great too. Benitez is the better skilled tho, his defense and counter punching abilities are at a ATG level. Tito was the more carismathic and entertaining of the 3, but his accomplishments are not as good as Gomez I dont know Champ you can say that gomez was more skilled but as far as Tito not been as accomplished I disagree
