Vasquez & Rafa have been inactive for a very long time, the last Rafa fight was a joke, Caballero hasn't done enough, and where the f**k is Chad Dawson in here? and if you have Caballero you might as well put Wlad in here too
Darch shouldn't have been dropped. Pwill shouldn't be there, at least not til he gets 1 more big win.
Wiliams has done enough to make it. A little overdue if you ask me. Margarito, Quintana, Verno Phillips, and Winky Wright. Thats a helluva resume already. Matter of fact, I think it is a travesty that Caballero, and Donaire are infront of him.
Just to put it in perspective: Donaire, and this is not a big diss because he is without doubt one of my favourite fighter at the moment and should have a huge career ahead of him and will possible even top the P4P rankings at some point in the future, but, he has beaten only one champion in his whole career of twenty fights. Only one. That also happened to be now two years ago!
Cabellero in that same time, just the last two years, unified the titles against the long time undefeated Steve Molitor (six defenses of his title over three years) as well as beat long time WBA SFW champion Lorenzo Parra, former champion Mauricio Pastrana along with top contenders Jeffrey Mathebula, Ricardo Castillo and Jorge Lacierva. Before that he had beaten the champion in that huge blowout in three rounds after his huge FOTY against Monshipour along with beating former world champion champions Daniel Ponce De Leon, Jose Valbueno, and Yober Ortega.
Do they really compare now? Donaire will eventually be much better than Caballero, but that;'s just ridiculous having him in there now. There are literally ten more deserving champions. He's an amazing prospect but as of yet has done nothing close to warrant being in the top P4P rankings over other long time champions.
donaire too high, caballero shoudlnt even be there in the first place. what the hell did that... who the hell did that guy beat to be top 10 period. cotto too low, caballero out, chad dawson in.
See post above for reply to this typically ignorant statement about a fighter you obviously know nothing about. Who would you put instead of Caballero and why? Who have they beaten that is better than what he has done?
People claiming all this why is donaire, rafa, and izzy in the p4p list but fail to mention who would they replace them with.
Calderon and chad dawson. Dont name the klitz brothers because the defy the reason the p4p list was made which is to awknowledge the lower weight classes. You know how many p4p fighters that lost this year.
Margarito, hatton, vic darchinyan, along with the retirement of joe calzaghe. People naming why these fighters are there but forgot that there aint that many fighters who actually have a good resume.
Nonito Donaire seventh? After doing what exactly? His one win over Darchinyan? Amazing win but he has literally done nothing since then. Less than nothing in fact. How is possibly above Cotto, etc. I mean even Wlliams has done more by destroying his rival, then moving up to JMW and MW beating everyone, including a HOF'er in Wright.
Yet, somehow Donaire is put at seven for beating an unrated, never fought anyone chump (whatever his name was)? This is why The Ring ratings are looking worse and worse and worse. Soon, their title will be just as redundant.
This reminds me of when Corrales shot to number five after being completely unranked and unheard of, then he beat Derrick Gainer, which was a legitimately great win for him, though he then fought two complete nobodies who hadn't won anything and weren't near the top of any rankings and he somehow shoots to number five above guys who had been beating champions, and the top contenders over and over and doing it for years without getting close to jumping about twenty spots for no good reason.
:dunce:
Edit: As for the guy who thinks he should be there instead of Caballero and Calderon saying what have they done to be there instead of Donaire? You have to be joking right?
Caballero has made eight defenses and unified the division. He has beaten a large number of bloody good, legitimate champions and ranked contenders and has been unbeaten in over five years.
Calderon has been unbeaten his whole career which includes eleven defenses of his 105 title, and has moved up, won a second title and already defended it four times. Calderon should seriously be up near the top, but being in the lowest division no one takes any notice. If he was a WW fighter or any other division higher than 112 he would be right at the top. He is the longest reigning, unbeaten champion today and has fought many great champions in his reign.
