jmm vs jmm is going to be a draw.
I see JMM vs JMM going to a split decision with JMM losing because he got knocked down. JMM will continue to cry about it for the next several years and price himself out of a rematch with JMM while still holding onto the internet thunder JMM has amassed with the Pachaters.
JMM will solidify his spot as number 3 P4P by continuing to clean out the lightweight division though - although it is not the deepest of divisions.
Wow...tonghit I learned that you can read a post by an idiot without click on a thread that says Pacquiao or Mayweather. JJM destroys Bradley. If I remember tomorrow I'll give karma to the guy who earlier said a lot of JJM's losses were close but not robberies, but he beat legit comp. and has proved he is a legend. Also for the idiot who said Mosley is good but not a HOF, please try to see how far you can deep throat a shotgun. JJM beats Bradley with no question, if you say otherwise your weed is better than mine and please share.
No convicted drug cheat is a hall of fame level fighter. Not for me, not for any self-respecting boxer, not for any self-respecting boxing fan.
Your right, man where is my horse, because I'm not high enough.
This isn't having a high horse. It's looking at facts. When we say a fighter is great, we mean that a fighter is great. Not a substance.
Do you blame alcoholics for acting like jackasses when they're drunk? You're not supposed to, because the substance is what takes over the person.
It's not exactly the same with PEDs, but it's similar. Watching "Prime Mosley" is really just watching a professional athlete on PEDs.
Mark McGuire will never make the baseball hall of fame, why should Shane Mosley make the boxing hall of fame?
ATM, James would destroy him. Alvarez has already shown that he has a pretty shaky chin. Alvarez's power is pretty overrated from what I've seen. He certainly isn't as good as he's been made out to be.
When? He got stunned by Jose Cotto once and he has a shaky chin?
Get out of here.
It's actually funnier that a professional would respond to a bunch of fans like that. It means that it's gotten to him on a psychological level.
That surprises me as he's usually pretty calculating.
i think championship fights that end in a draw should have an 'overtime' of 3 rounds...making it 15
imagine PAC-JMM 1 after the draw announcement? the crowd would know that 3 more rounds were coming...it would be electric
I don't like that. So much rhythm would be taken away. When you basically think that the fight is over and then all of a sudden, no. It makes the match completely different then.
You might not be the only one, but I for one think it's crazy. I never thought that Mosley was the be all and end all of boxers in the first place anyways. ALways thought that he was overrated. He never used to be a bum - though he is now - but to put him in the same level as Pacquiao and Mayweather is stupid.
I always thought that stringbean was being overrated. How the hell does he even come close to deserving JuanMaLo or the Cuban? What has he ever done? Beat midgets and Ponce De Leon - who I love, but doesn't deserve that title shot really either.
Actually, JT with a little more endurance and a few less concussions through his life probably would have won that fight. Carl got a bit of luck with that knockout, but sometimes that's what you need. I think the blueprint to beating him might just be Glen Johnson's style. Take his length away and chop away at that lengthy body.
I just hope that Glen has enough in the tank to accomplish it, because I'm always pulling for the Road Warrior.
isn't he one of the no-hopers that pac already beat???
I think martinez has a point about marg and mosley. I was against pac fighting both guys. I prefer him fighting berto even though berto doesn't deserve it.
but pac already destroyed cotto and martinez wants a piece of that? that's dumb.
why don't martinez want to fight pirog or kirkland or sturm?
I hope he doesn't duck them.
Because Cotto is the easiest win of all of those fighters while also being the biggest name, bringing the most money, and having a belt.
Not too hard to figure out.
Somehow some slavic blood found its way into my italian family, so I always really appreciate when Russians, Ukrainians, and all others in the pan-slavic family pull of their wins, but to say that Americans are done in boxing...
Come on.
Damn, Texas really living up to the wild west monicker... or I guess dirty south is more apt :lol1:
Game over for Tony then, Pac with 8 oz Cleto Reyes gloves=the other guy being a bloody mess. If he retains his speed and has become stronger, it could be a brutal night since there's less padding/protection than what 10 oz gloves might've been able to provide. There will be blood :boxing:
And thanks for putting yet another Crackweather myth to rest. Nice Updates :headbang:
I love 8 oz gloves. Wild west is right!
They're actually safer for the fighters in the long run anyways.
Being in great shape is excellent! But if you don't have the style you still won't win. Of course, it all depends on how seriously Pacquiao is taking this fight, which doesn't appear to be very serious at the moment.
We'll see.
Here's the thing, personally, I think that Paul Williams is probably the third, fourth, or fifth best P4P boxer in the world, but his acheievements do not qualify him to really earn that position, for me.
Ranking someone as P4P best and acknowlediging that they are the P4P best are two different things for me, if it makes any sense.
If Paul Williams beats Sergio Martinez, then I don't know how he doesn't crack top 5 P4P though.
JMM seems really bitter. Too bitter considering that the fights were so close and they basically solidified his legend. I'm not sure if Pacquiao got personal with JMM and said anything against him personally to warrant such bitterness, but JMM needs to move on with it already.
Pacquiao is only like 5'6" fighting at 152 and it's only been about two weeks into his training camp.
I don't expect him to look like a greek god.
Antonio Margarito is a fitness freak and he stays in fighting shape throughout the year, whether he has a fight lined up or not.
These photos aren't shocking.
To be fair, you don't know that this was caused by Abraham's punch.
I've heard tale a few months back that Andre Dirrell was released fro the hospital that night without even having sustained a concussion. If that was true, I don't see how you can suggest that this was caused by Abraham.
Chop Chop hurt him, but I don't think that you can call him chinney on that basis. I don't think that Mayweather is chinney at all, honestly. He seems to be able to take a punch decently. Maybe not the toughest chin in the world, but decent.
I hate all this catchweight bull****, I definitely look at Pac's legacy differently.
Wish he got them all legit.
He has had like two catchweights.
Do you also look down at Sugar Ray Leonard and Henry Armstrong?
Most people that hate Pacquiao don't. Why not? MY theory:
Pacquiao isn't an American, as a contingency, he isn't a black American.
thats what peds do
The funny thing is that... It actually isn't.
HGH is the only one connected to head growth that I know of.
HGH does not enhance performance though.
The real reason that I thought that Pacquiao wasn't going for that demand was because it would have made him look weak, it would have weakened his image. Don't forget that he was running for a political office at the time.
Do you think that the Filipino people would have been impressed by him being pushed around by Floyd Mayweather Jr in negotiations? I wouldn't.
I wasn't surprised that he chose to wait until after the election to accept all of those things.
Manny has another life outside of boxing, a life that seems more important to him than boxing. He seemed to want to do anything to get elected. Not bending to the will of Mayweather was probably a part of that.
Yeah, I would be surprised if he KO's Froch because Froch seems too smart to get KO'd. He likes to war, but when he's in trouble, he seems to know to go back to boxing.
I don't count Johnson out from winning though, just not by KO.
That fight was not as close as people make it out to be. Castillo did land a lot but it wasn't as close as Pac JMM 1 and 2. If you really watch the whole fight from start to finish you will see Floys dominating the first half then Castillo slowly getting back in the fight, but it wasn't enough to win, maybe a draw would have been his best bet but he didn't win.
Yeah it was.
And I think that people look for reasons to give Floyd Mayweather Jr. an undeserved loss, but really, he lost this fight.
Castillo landed 173 power punches, and landed at a 40% rate overall to Mayweather's 35% and Mayweather - a fighter that relies completely on accuracy - won?
Well, I guess you're entitled to that opinion if you want, but it was a minor robbery, for me.
