This was an excellent read. I can't really feel sorry for the kid.

Social Networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter have granted public figures and their fans unprecedented access to one another. Fans are now able to keep in touch with their favorite fighters in a way that was previously unheard of. Of course, these benefits also carry the added responsibility of allowing a lot more people into your world than you’ve previously been accustomed too. This feature requires the individual to self-censor themselves to ensure that they don’t self-incriminate or slip some aspects of their lives into a public environment that they previously would have been hesitant to do so.
One fighter who’s learned the more negative possibilities of social networking is Omar Henry. That name may only be familiar to the hardcore fans of the sport but I ensure you that Henry was a fighter who was on the fast track to stardom.....
Read the rest here....it's kinda long.

I think people are overeacting to him putting himself out there. That's actually smart. Dogging his promotional company and manager is pretty dumb though.
damn, sucks for him, but he shoulda known better, he's not a little kid. hopefully he gets his **** together and hops off that facebook and twitter. TR should just let him go though, i mean if he doesnt get his act right, he'll end up nowhere, i doubt any other company will wanna deal with him if he acts like that....who knows, dude just get start thinking about his future instead of wrapped around that hollywood life bs.
Henry is nuts man, I saw him on multiple celeb sites with random celebs. Dude would hunt these guys down to get a picture with them.
I give him props for trying to get his name out there, but come on, you need to fight. It's unfortunate these fighters don't understand how short of a time frame they have to capitalize on there talents.
I don't blame Top Rank one bit for whatever they decide to do with him.
He was actually on TMZ a few months ago but it was because he was basically chasing celebrities around L.A begging for their picture. The main stream hardly knows who pac and floyd are much less some nobody prospect with 0 draw.
The kid has problems. If he ever gets K.O'd or starts stringing up loses he will probably commit suicide or worse.
Omar is an arrogant and pompous person....
I knew him when he was nobody training for the Golden Gloves here in Houston....
Everything I said he was and people didnt believe me..... I have been saying what this article said for at least a year and a half....
Yeah, he might've just been nice to me because I knew who he was.
:lol1:
Omar was a real cool dude when he first went into the Mayweather Gym.
He made me take a pic of him sitting on the ring and he said ,"Make sure Mayweather Promotions is in the pic".
He trained with Roger everyday and sparred a couple times.
Dude has really good work ethic from what I've seen from him.

It's interesting to note that Henry, who recently got back in the good graces of Top Rank and his managers, wasted no time trashing his manager on twitter last week. This was not much more than a week after I reported he would be returning to the fold and fighting soon.
Details of that aftermath to follow.
:Flush:.....
I chat with that vato all the time..he's cool as fuk!!
i chatted with him once, in one of the other boxing forums.
at that time, he was undecided whether to accept pac's offer to be a sparring partner in preparation for cotto (since henry's style is a lot similar to miguel's). we all know he refused the offer, he probably would've been seen in the 24/7, but he feels like he's better than a sparring partner.
he also mentioned that he thinks that he's better and a more complete fighter than miguel (i'm not joking).
wow i cant believe all this, Omar was looking good in las vegs when i seen him
kid's always in shape and does actually spar (he sparred Fernando Guerrero recently) but his actions are what's keeping him out of the ring
Two days ago, he posted on twitter :
-Wtf who cares that I ****ed @LindsayLohan thats my business and my personal life
-Yea man didnt you see what I tweeted my so called manger Cameron Dunkin has been the one keeping me out the ring brother!
-For all those whose been wondering why haven't ive been as active in the ring like usual blame it on my so called manager Cameron Dunkin!
-Wow had some of my Filipino fans crying yesterday that they talked to me on skype what a blessing :)
His last tweet kill me
yeah that was in response to all the sh1t I talked to him
that was fun
lmao. Can't help but laugh at him for being a complete dumbass. :lol1:
He's one of 2 or 3 boxers I'm friends with on facebook. Didn't know his career had hit a speed bump. Sucks for him, but he's still tremendously talented so he just needs some guidance.
