Speed, speed, speed, and more speed, man. That's what will keep Mosley from having any chance. Mosley used to be a really good boxer to go along with his ability to brawl, but most of that is gone, he has basically been reduced down to big shots and nothing else. He would spend the whole fight, however long it lasted, tense and confused as Pac moved and threw. It's possible he wouldn't even do as well as Margarito did because Mosley is smaller and doesn't apply that nonstop pressure that made Pac uncomfortable in spots. He also doesn't throw half as often as Margarito did.
You're also severely underrating Pac's defensive skills, like most people. He may get hit, but 9 times out of 10 he is landing three punches at least for every one landed on him. When Pac is moving, it's hard to find him and hit him clean, especially when he's throwing.
The only chance Mosley would have is that perfect shot.
this is a very good post
manny's the best offensive fighter on the planet
of course he's gonna get hit more than floyd mayweather
i dont know if he'd throw massive amounts of punches against shane unless he starts to cover up
as others have said, shane is oldschool and freakishly strong
he would have no problem exchanging with manny early if manny was willing to go that rout
(his fight with cotto were some of the most brutish exchanges of pure power shots i've ever seen live and shane barely blinked. he is FREAKISHLY strong, a one in ten million athlete.)
i think manny would be moving all night (simmilar to the way he weathered the storm after the midpoint in the margarito fight when marg hurt him)
shane looked god awful against sergio mora. hell, he even got hit clean and looked bothered by mora who is a dismal puncher and very weak middleweight.
can you imagine what it's going to look like when manny pacquiao gives him a boxing lesson?
once again there will be excitement because of the size of his opponent
and shane's power
and name
but my money would be on manny making him look ordinary late in the fight
Pacquiao UD 12
pacquiao wouldnt touch a prime mosley with a ten foot pole
wouldnt even go to the same state
Seriously...what fights did you all see Mosley run out of gas in? Don't mention the Cotto or Floyd fights either since he didn't gas...He just didn't know what the fvck to do.
Mosley can't beat him. But both of their styles will fit each other's criteria. Manny will have the better edge due to his superior speed, stamina, and volume punches. Mosley on the other hand isn't gonna have to worry about thinking much since Manny isn't much of a Boxer like, Floyd, Cotto, Winky, ect are.
I disagree. Manny absolutely makes his opponents think. When a guy can move and throw like Manny, you have to think about what you're doing otherwise you'll be eating punches.
And Mosley can't help but tense up and overthink.
Pac says that before all his fights and we know how they all went except for papa morales and his step dad Marquez
Hey man what is the name of the ebony girl down in your signature? She look superb!!!
Thank you...
Shane gassed after 3-4 rounds in each of his last 2 fights and looked everyday of his age. I'm a big Pacquiao fan, but this fight is a foregone conclusion. Complete waste of time.
At this point, I'd rather Arum court Berto, who's a free agent, sign him to Top Rank and make a big deal about it in the media to attract attention and then use the next few months to hype him up and build his profile in the media. He could even use the race angle to bring in a demographic that usually doesn't buy Pacquiao fights in large numbers (Mark Taffet mentioned that the African-American demographic buying PPVs, especially in the midwest and East Coast, skyrockets when Floyd fights but is much lower when Manny does). Sell Berto as the 'Great Black Hope'- a young, strong, fast, undefeated champion... the 'slick' Black fighter who Pac has supposedly feared and avoided his entire career. Manny will bring in the usual demographics he does, but fighting Berto and good marketing will open up the Black demographic despite Andre not being a draw on his own.
the young mosley was fast and durable and relentless. but at this stage of his career and against a dynamo of a fighter, i think all he got is a puncher's chance and thats only in the first 3rounds. he can't match pac's stamina the full 3mins of EVERY round. if he gassed out against mayweather who potshot and countered only, what more against pac.
I don't even think Mosley has a puncher's chance truthfully. Pacquiao can take a hell of a punch, so I don't think Pacquiao given the same circumstances as Floyd in round 2 of their fight would crumble and get KO'd. IMO, I think he'd actually exchange with Mosley immediately after wards and have his way with Mosley.
I think Manny stops Shane for the 1st time in his career. Mosley looked dead tired towards the end of the Mayweather fight, and Floyd wasn't even bringing the fiight to Mosley as Pacquiao would be based on his style. The reality is, Mosley hasn't had a good outing since January of 2009 and nothing since then shows me he'd have a good outing or a win over Pacquiao.
Shane gave up in the Floyd fight, put on that performance in the mora fight and you guys have the nerve to talk about his fights from years ago.
I was vocal on here that I though Shane would put it on Floyd, but you don't get younger all the sudden in this game against a guy like manny. Y'all are talking ridiculousness. Shane sounds punch drunk, hasn't looked halfway decent for more than two rounds in two years.
as far as the fight goes-First off, the fight better not happen, it's a sham and a ripoff. I see a quick end for Shane a la hatton. His legs were barely there before the Floyd fight, now we're another year away. Manny is just too fast and hits waaaaay harder than Floyd (who could have stopped Shane but was being nice or somethig). Not gonna happen with manny. Oncexmanny hurts Shane, that's it.
Saying that Shane blasted out margs earlier than PAC did is another ridiculous comment. Since manny blasted out hatton faster than Floyd does that mean manny's better than Floyd????
Shane has more than proven that he doesn't have the fire left he had in the margs fight. He backed off after he hurt Floyd and was tentative all fight against the Latin wet noodle.
just for the record.....mora is a big boy! and to most watching; shane won that fight...styles make fights. pacman could possibly go to sleep in this one; especially if he mans up! shane is a good fighter and one of the best of our recent history.... many of you will cry bs,,,,,but i belive this to be true.

Mosley knocked out Margacheato = everybody on his nutsack
..Then he has a bad night against Floyd ... all the sudden he is washed up.
I been following Mosley forever as a boxing fan. He is the real deal, i just don't know where all these fuckin haters came from.
I hope Mosley/Pac is next. It will be fireworks. Don't miss this fight, it is going to be hugely competitive. Pac COULD get knocked the **** out --- Don't coun't Mosley out, it could happen--- it's unlikely, but it could happen. This fight will be a slugfest-which is a Shane Mosley kind of fight.
all of this ^^^^^^^^^:boxing:
U are not,if the stars are aligned correctly & Mosley isn't overtrained & he has the stamina he's known for & that same mentality he had against Margarito!!This could be a serious case of shock & awe!!But sadly,I don't think Mosley's body can produce that Mosley anymore, but he is a great fighter & like i said if the stars are aligned he may have 1 great performance left in him!!
Yes. You are the only one, because Mosley isn't beating Pac. He has the perfect style to lose to him. A come forward brawler is exactly what loses to him.
I think he can put up a good fight but I am uncertain of even that. A lot depends on if Manny can frustrate Mosley in some way which is generally a key to making Mosley look bad.
Now even if Manny can't frustrate Mosley I still like his chances because I think at this age Mosley just doesn't have enough to do what he needs to for all twelve rounds but then again he does only really need to perform in seven rounds to win so he could do that.
At least Mosley has a good straight right hand which is a fine punch to have in the bag for Manny.
If Mosley got in panic fighting FMJ and gassed out in two rounds then he will be on his pens at the Michale Buffer introduction and will be gassed out inf the first minute of the first round with Pacquiao intensity. I can bed to you Pac chin>>>>>FMJ chin too.
Mosley is a better boxer than Margarito, the fastest, biggest hitter he's fought above 130 and yes, he can absolutely win. Pacquiao doesn't fight anything like a defensive genius in Floyd or a tall natural 160-pound spoiler in Mora. Nobody cherrypicks Mosley. Floyd didn't cherrypick him either. Mosley is a dangerous SOB even though he can be frustrated and out-boxed.

Finally someone who's knows their sh!t. I agree 100%. Shane is dangerous, but can be dealt with if you can outbox him.
I have always felt other than Mayweather Moseley is the one fighter that could cause Manny real problems. The fight should have been made a couple of years back but even now I can see him doing well.
A couple of years back everyone would have said that Mosley would destroy Pac. I also seem him doing well, and I don't see Pac KO'in or TKO'ing him at all. I hope the rumors are true...this would be a FOTY candidate. :boxing::boxing::boxing:
