Fight looked fishy to me, Molina didn't appear tired, didn't appear afraid of getting hit and didn't seem to punch sometimes when in good position.Just kind of made me wonder, not saying that it's fixed for sure but thought crossed my mind, then again I was watching on stream on my phone while I worked so my attention wasn't completely on fight, but seemed like Molina was holding back and not punching when in position, but who knows maybe he is just not that good and worse than the other times I had seem him fight.
Bika may have lots of wear and tear on him, and fight at 168 and Stevenson fighting at 175 longer, but I could see Bika winning easily. Stevenson name made from KO'ing a Chad Dawson who was going through some serious issues as a fighter when he got KO'd by Stevenson. I am not overly impressed with Stevenson although he has some mobility and tremendous power in his left hand.
If anything I think Thurman did some damage to him. That was the worse Guerrero has looked in YEARS
Exactly ,Guerrero wasn't healed from the beating Thurman put on him . So the logic doesn't really wash that Thurman is no good because of the way Guerrero fought today, Martinez did put more damage on the "ghost" who should think of quitting soon.
The idiot Martinez lost this fight , fell in love with the KO and stop attacking
He didn't have energy to keep attacking like that, Guerro showing wear and tear though ,,needs to think about quitting boxing pretty soon..
Cotto didn't drop bombs, he caught Geale once on the temple and then once on the chin... looked rigged.
Had a whiff of being rigged but not positive, the left hook that dropped him was solid, but even before that Geale gave me the feeling that he wasn't really trying. Hard to say but didn't leave the feeling that the whole thing was on the up and up, no matter what the way he quit was lame.
Prime 160 Hopkins gets his ass whipped by prime 175 Kovalev.
Exactly. Hopkins pound for pound in his prime is better in my opinion than Kovalev ,but Hopkins prime was at a 160 pounds. So match that smaller Hopkins verse prime Kovalev at 175 and you have a Kovalev victory if that made any sense.
I Would like to see Walters vs Gamboa at 130 I say Gamboa at 130 destroys Walters..Mostly what Walters has been good at so far is making weight ala Julio Cesar Jr, and beating up smaller opponents.
I'd rather see Lomachenko unify at 126 and Walters fight one of the champs at 130.
I feel a similar way, let Lomachenko get more belts at 126. Let Walters get a 130 pound belt and in maybe a 2 years Walters still at 130 Lomachenko can go and up and fight for Walters 130 pound belt.
I hope Marriaga beats Walters then Gamboa beats Walters at 130 pounds, I don't like trash talking bullys and thats what Walters is coming of to me as, not a talented fighter but one who fights smaller men then brags about his victories..
no
Walters is more a talent along the line of Julio Cesear Chavez Jr. Who's talent is losing weight and beating up smaller fighters. Walters has talent but being the larger man is his main skill i can see to this point.
Arum may diss rigo but has delivered the cash.
I am a big Rigondeaux fan ..and Arum annoyingly bad mouths him but Arum did deliver him about 750k-900k for the Donaire fight which is good bread for a non-english speaking fighter on American TV. I wonder how much he got Rigo for stay busy fight vs Agbeko I would guess at least 300k but don't know for sure..so Bob isn't doing all bad by Rigo his words seem stupid but cash is always one of the greatest expressions of appreciation in the business world.
true
They just use the excuse that everyone at 160 is ducking him...yet in the same breath say he shouldn't move to 168 where the lineal champ wants to fight him...meaning he can just fight no names and it is a great fight
GGG is obviously a good fighter, who really hasn't fought any legit competition yet except an undersized aged Ouma, and Macklin .Up to now GGG is more a marketing match making sensation than legend.
Your right, it would sadden be to see Lucas fight Thurman at 147, risk too high, even if Lucas won it would put mileage on him as Thurman can bang. Lucas best weight is 140 and if he can't make 140 he should ease into 147 with easier opposition than Thurman.
Rigo is better IMO but the Russian states support their boxers also and Lomachenko is as much a pro amateur as Rigo was. I think Lomachenko will win a tough fight but he won't look as good as Rigondeaux did beating Donair and Donair is a lot better than Salido.
Rigo beat Donaire in a awesome fight but that was his 12th fight as pro , more time to get used to pro style, Salido is not as good as Donaire but this Vasyl 2nd fight, This a tougher 2nd fight that Rigo took in his second fight.
I am thinking they are rushing Vasyl, but if all works out maybe he will face rigo in the next 18 months that would be pretty cool, then we won't have to guess as much about how good they are.
I wonder who picked Berto?:lol1:
I did.Broner the better fighter , Berto the bigger human, this fight would be 12 pounds north of were Broner just fought at 135, Berto got his flaws but I think he take Broner if the fought a few months from now.
Hell of a fight, but I say Sanchez wins a razor thin SD.
Salvador Sanchez was loved by all in Mexico, no way JMM gets the nod if the fight went all 12.
Got to be a 15 round fight if it is going to be a fantasy fight...tough call, Think I give it Sanchez after watching him fight Azumah Nelson on replay the other night..
