Toney takes him into deep waters and drowns him. Toney probably drops the first few rounds because he is a slow starter, but I would bet he knocks him out late.
first of all GGG would duck toney, and i won't even entertain what would happen because that would be an insult to toney. totally fvcking mismatch to the highest degree....i mean come on now, we talking about a guy who has barely any name for himself and refuses to fight the p4p 2 guy in the sport and not mention lara as well.
even if his initials had 4G's in them, he still wouldn't be as G as Toney.
with all due respect to gennady, it would be a great fight, but turn out to be ones of Toney's best
As many here i am picking James Toney by far.
In his prime Toney was just too good too fast, his counters were sharp and his defense was masterfull.
Toney vs mccullough its one of the most beautiful action fights ever.
Toney was so skilled that he lost many of his athletic abilities due to being irresponsable, and still with his boxing skills was able to have a pretty good heavyweight career, beating john ruiz, evander holyfield , hasim rahman and other good names...
So yeah i am picking Toney without a doubt.
GGG its fun to watch and i like him, but i dont see any special thing he can do to beat a prime toney.
How does this play out and why
Seriously? Toney picks him to pieces and wins a clear UD. Toney was a bad, bad, man back then, too slick, too powerful, too good.
Toney wins this fight easily. One thing I think is certain, GGG would not come close to getting a KO. He could find himself on the wrong end of a KO. In all seriousness I think Toney would coast to a UD.
Toney by rape, murder, kill.
I was just waiting for someone to say something about GGG's power so I could laugh, James ate shots from Sam Peter and did not go down.
And GGG eats flush punches from C and B level fighters because he has a good chin but the chin gets cracked by Toney with those super sharp counters.
K.O 8
Damn all these serious answers. I was about to notch another one in the fantasy win column for the most feared man..
Got Toney winning 10 easy rounds.. Losing the first 2 out of 3 to figure this guy out.
At this stage of what I've seen from GGG too far.. Toney will run all over him. Toney will set traps, have faster combinations, and it will be really hard to hit Toney with the kind of right hands GGG tends to throw.
I think the speed differential will be a huge problem for GGG against the craft of Toney.
Toney at middleweight was a monster and GGG is a fight Toney would win by either late KO or UD.
I like GGG but need to see more.. A Sergio fight could show how monstrous this guy could be.
