its seems at sport in general...take europe where i think it was latvia a all white team beat the yanks a all balc team at basket ball..boxing all the decnt white boxers are white are from europe...
people have given me this "they go into american football" crap but thats domnated by black people in america...take rugby, its mainly white people in it...
basically white american atheletes are just to weak and feeble to be taken seriously..take kelly pavlik, was hyped and got spanked by someone 20 years older than him...
Another excuse ive seen is that "most boxing gyms are in non white areas"..the same can be said about britain. Mmost boxibg gyms are in poor inner city areas where there are alot of ethnic miniorites.
ricky hatton and carl forch are from cities of high enthic minority areas..plus there are less white people on ireland and wales yet produce many great boxers...
This is not a supremacy thread as im white and im not comparing white and black because that will bring the racists from both sides, but i do find it quite amusing that white americans are woeful at boxing and sport in general considering there is probably 200 000 000 white people in america...
None are better than Peyton Manning
No, they'll just call him a bum until they're blue in the face regardless.
He's good, but he's still got a lot to prove. I agree, and he can start by refraining from leaving his guard down....that's inviting trouble
froch has made a name for himself.
I still think he's very amatuerish. I give him credit for beating taylor, but taylor is a gatekeeper. He needs to refrain from letting his left hand ....guard down...too easy to get hit
Indeed. Calzaghe was accused of ducking any American here near his weight class after they won, so now that Froch won a big one Dawson is ducking him. If Dawson fights Kessler he's ducking Froch, if Chad fights Froch he's ducking Kessler and Bute. If he ever does fight either and win then they're overrated or past their prime, that's the NSB way... Well said, and 100 % accurate :hail:
Do you think Ricky has the heart to keep going if he loses to Manny?
On 24/7 he mentions how he didnt stop crying for three months after he was defeated by Floyd!
I also heard he nearly had a nervous breakdown,
do you think if he loses this fight it will be the nail in the coffin as such?
Do you think he would comeback??

Scary thought
Agbeko vs Yonnhy Perez will be a very interesting fight! i cant wait to see that. Its always nice to see a fighter who has gone so long unnoticed now receive lots of credit which he rightfully deserves.
Interesting, and likely true
I was expecting a war between Hatton Pacquiao, not a 2nd round KO. Although the KO was nice i would have preferred 12 rounds of blood and hell. The undercard was shit imo, i was having a hard time staying awake until mid way through the Soto- Gaudet fight.
Anyways i was annoyed how fast the fight ended. Props to Pacquiao. This may offend the Mexicans on here, but i am now a big Pacquiao fan when hes not fighting other mexicans :boxing:
The undercards were good, but yeah, 50 bucks???
Anyone who disagrees is a fool. This is what a heavyweight fighter should look like.
:boxing:
BTW- A Tyson at 20, would beat Ali/Fraizer..etc = ANYONE, so do not single ouy Wlad, you hater::headbang:

Quit living in the past.. Tyson also would beat Douglas??
No disrespect brother, but that's a seriously stupid comment when you consider all the factors. Most importantly, mentally, Mike wasn't there. He had a set of complete jokers in his corner who didn't even have anything to treat cuts or swelling. I shouldn't need to go into everything else, because if you were around at that time you would know all about Tyson's marriage problems, etc. Mike was mentally beaten even before he stepped into the ring. Coupled with the fact that he didn't train properly, had fired Rooney, and of course completely underestimated Douglas, he had it coming.
On the other hand, Douglas was mentally in another zone. He lost his mother shortly before the fight and he had nothing more to lose. When you lose your mother, Mike Tyson doesn't intimidate you. Losing your mother is a far bigger deal than getting knocked out in a fight.
All things considered, the writing was on the wall for Mike. It's easy to say "Tyson would beat Douglas?" and post a funny face, but there are a lot, and I mean a lot, of things you need to consider as to why he lost. Douglas probably wouldn't have lasted more than a few rounds with the Tyson from a year or two earlier.
In boxing, mental strength is half of it. Mike, at this point, didn't have it.
As for you saying "quit living in the past", no. **** you. Boxing History is important to me.
Then is it fair to say, considering environment...that if Wlad/Lennix/Vitali, all grew up n Tysons' environment, that they may be just as bad of killers in the ring??
anyone? even just a little? i mean slyvestor KTFO castelljo and castelljo KTFO sturm so slyvestor was greater then sturm right?
cant wait for arthur/sturm!!!!! No negative comment here= Sturm is good
TOO fast, TOO strong, and technique is great. I just don't see how anyone can beat this kid. Now I dont know how his chin is but I've never really seen him hurt therefore I'm assuming he's good. If you guys object, tell me who beats him and please explain to me HOW they would go about doing it. I just dont see any weakness in him it's quite possible
Because its the truth & a lot of people have the same opinion. JoeCal fights Uk bums & old men. US fans see thru his weak record I didn't know Lacy was british...bu Eubank was"peeleft:
Come on Jeff, guy has so much talent and we've only seen parts of it in the ring. Both of these fighters better set friendship behind them for the point being until the end of the fight, this is there career were talking about. And there reputation in this sport.
It seems that these guys today go all to pieces after their first loss...Lacy was whomping everyone until Joe...ONE loss and he's fickle,,,,Same as Pavlik looked...These 2 are both very good, and neither should be edgey, or fickle due to one loss
Why did Roy wait so long?? Hopkins ducked Joe in 2003...Glen Johnson wouldn't call out Joe unless Joe was injured, then Woods beat Johnson, whom joe would have clobbered.....Stuff that one
I think a prime Roy would win, but zag has some serious skills and is a force to be reckon with whether I want to admit it or not.
Bearman 3000 takes his hat off for the king of Wales, and neatly folds his American flag to the end of Roy's illustrious career.
:boxing::boxing::boxing: Good post:boxing:
I don't get that, Jones would have done the same thing, he's been doing the same thing for years, 1 fight like that from Calzaghe and he gets criticism.
Exactly= what goes around.....
A gift decision against Bernard Hopkins and a completely one sided beatdown of a 5 years past prime Jones hardly makes for a Fighter of the Year candidate.
Antonio Margarito, Juan Manuel Marquez, Israel Vazquez, and Manny Pacquiao (assuming he beats Oscar) are much more worthy of the nod.I watched the fight 3 times, Joe CLEARLY won...2 of 3 judges, and all announcers had Joe winning One stupid Judge, and the haters saw it differently
