TOO fast, TOO strong, and technique is great. I just don't see how anyone can beat this kid. Now I dont know how his chin is but I've never really seen him hurt therefore I'm assuming he's good. If you guys object, tell me who beats him and please explain to me HOW they would go about doing it. I just dont see any weakness in him
i'd pick calzaghe or Bernard to beat him, he's nothing special. if he was british everyone on here would call him a hypejob.
Good point. Hops would give him a terrible night.

Man you only seen him fight Tarver right?? Adamek floored him...Johnson beat him but was robbed even though he had Chad doin the Judah dance a couple times
You guys are out of your mind saying Glen was robbed! It was a close fight but Dawson definately did enuff to win! Now stop that nonsense
Glenn Johnson beat him.
Carl Froch would KO him.
Calzaghe would out-hustle him.
PS: I like Dawson a lot, but let's be realistic. He needs to stop ducking Diaconu also. What is it now, 5 times?
LMAO No Bias ^ folks!!

IMO I think Johnson already beat him but with that being said he impressed me tremendously in the Tarver fight. And I too don't see anyone beating him at 175 or below right now including Johnson. Right now the fight I would like to see is Dawson against another young lion by the name of Shaun George...both are hungry with speed and power I just think it would be a great fight.
The fight wasn't a robbery, simply because Johnson not only didn't impress the judges but he also didn't win clearly. The fight was extremely close and could have gone either way, and that's not a robbery. An example of a robbery would be Oscar against Trinidad or Whitaker against Ramirez. Also, Dawson was only hurt in rounds 3 and 10. He was countered with a right hand in the third( followed by a left hook) from being overly aggressive and a counter right hand also did the same in the 10th, and both times Dawson fought back while he was hurt and showed composure which made those rounds even debatable.
I don't think Dawson has a horrible chin, but he could be hurt when hes not ready for the punches as well as anyone else. I seen Winky against Vasquez and he was knocked down and severely hurt all five times, and we all know how good Wright's chin is now. Fighters over time gain experience and learn how to roll with punches and be more relaxed, just the way Wright, Oscar and Trinidad showed when they grew maturer. Chad was hit flush on the chin by Tarver and there were also some instances where Johnson caught him with hard punches and he didn't buckle, like in the 11th round when he caught flush with a right hand that made his face shoot into the air.:boxing:
The difference is that Vasquez was one of the hardest hitters in the history of the division... Johnson is really... not.
Overly defensive...
Things I didn't say that you responded to
The fight was a robbery.
Dawson didn't control the pace of the fight.
The rematch won't happen.
Now, all I said is that he was hurt a lot, and I don't think his chin is very good, considering he was knocked down by Adamek... and if you say he wasn't affected and it was a just an off-balance shot, you are wrong, he fought much more conservative after that knockdown. Plus he was knocked down by Harding, although I know nothing about that knockdown.
Saying he has a good chin is ludicrous.

He go hurt because he got with hit clean shots and Johnson is still somewhat fresh compared to Tarver, who was showed his age. Dawson DOESN'T have a bad chin at all, which he already proven time and time again. If he had a bad chin he would of been knocked out by Johnson. And if you think the fight was a robbery, then you need to watch the fight again because in MANY rounds Dawson would CONTROL the first two minutes and Johnson would score in the last 30 seconds. I don't think Johnson won rounds by scoring late rallies, although the fight was close. Dawson will only beat him convincingly next time.
And if you look at the opportunities for Dawson, Johnson is VERY LIKELY to be his next opponent, depending if Calzaghe fights Pavlik.

I don't see how stating a true fact that Dawson was hurt multiple times is taking credit away from Dawson.
I mean, really... what about that took credit from him?

Dawson hasn't proven to me that he had an 'off-night' against Johnson yet.
The style of the Tarver-Dawson fight was completely different, I knew he would look great against Tarver and he did.
Johnson has a fight next month against a journeyman, if he struggles then there's no point for Johnson to continue his career. If Johnson wins impressively, he should fight Diaconu for the WBC title and then try to unify against Dawson.
The Dawson-Tarver fight proved that that was just an off night for Dawson. I've said it many times that was an off-night, he didn't prepare properly, and a lot of had to do with Glen Johnson. You watch any of Dawson's fight and compare it to the Johnson fight you will see he looked completely different. Dawson improved vastly since his fight against Glen Johnson, give credit where is due Dwiens.

Clearly you have not seen Dawson-Johnson.
He was hurt multiple times.
His chin is not very good.
