Do you think Ricky has the heart to keep going if he loses to Manny?
On 24/7 he mentions how he didnt stop crying for three months after he was defeated by Floyd!
I also heard he nearly had a nervous breakdown,
do you think if he loses this fight it will be the nail in the coffin as such?
Do you think he would comeback??

What happened after Floyd is just testament to how hard he's going to try and win on Saturday.
...and trust me...he will.
Most times the wins and/or losses are decided long before the fights. Take zaghe for instance, he knew he was going to beat both bernard and jones because he was no much more active at this stage and neither of the old legends were knockout artists, you know? Ricky Hatton is not fighting someone who will fade in the later rounds, not have the punch output to outscore him or be dead on his feet. Ricky is taking a much higher risk than his European counterparts apart from Haye, are/were taking and should be granted MORE credit. Otherwise before we know it boxing will be a coward's sports. We are already seeing this: Old farts (pardon me the expression) like Jones, Tarver and Hopkins are STILL getting into mega events and young guys in their primes like Williams, Dawson, Adamek and Kirkland have to wait these guys out until they retire or one of them dies in the ring, or fight them instead of fighting the real threats out there. That's why i hate multiple belts. Noone knows who's the real champ. Like in the 90's everyone knew Hopkins was the man and Calzaghe was unknown. 19 years later Hopkins is still fighting but the man is, considered by many, Calzaghe, who isn't in the same class imo, although he's good too.
He has NO choice but to fight the biggest fights at there, Thats the fights that makes you the most money and helps your legacy in boxing.
Do you mean Hatton specifically or boxers in general? Cause I can think of one boxer that definitely does not fit that bill...
i have been rewatching all hattons fights for the lead upto this and crucially post and pre fight interviews, he has that hunger back in his eyes like he did in the days of trying to get a world title shot, hes gonna win, anyhow, anyway, but it will be a classic!
for someone who hates losing that much he sure goes out of his way to fight almost unbeatable opponents!
I wonder if he had a concussion, that might explain why he was so depressed.

Even though he has the heart to keep going i doubt he would if he loses in a devastating way, When he lost to Mayweather a lost of people were encouraging him to retire so i cant imagine what people arounding would say if he gets beaten up for 8 odd round then KO with ease.

depends on how hatton loses... if its close and controversial hatton will go on, but if he gets ktfo he might have 1 more fight and retire.
I think he will definatley retire after this fight if he loses - and even if he wins, if he can not get a re-match with Mayweather I dont see him fighting anyone else. There is no one else out there that is going to bring enough money into a fight to make it worthwhile.

IMO, Hatton would never go out on a loss. He is still young and only has one loss. If Pacquiao beats him he'll fight again in Manchester at then maybe retire.

nah.....which is why i think ricky will win....if he loses, its over.
The way Ricky got knocked out was pretty embarrassing, hitting his head on the ring post, and then falling down because of having no legs under him. I think it hurt him a lot more because he never had been KO'd and he let the hype get to his head. I think if he gets knocked out, he will be extremely depressed, because he would have failed twice to be the pound for pound best, and he will have to live with knowing no matter what he's accomplished, he was never the best of his time. If he gets KO which i think will happen, he will have to retire, what other choice does he have at this point of his carreer.
Organise a fight in the City of Manchester Stadium and KO Amir Khan in the First round!!!
That would be great.
Then Retire
