Any Non-Brits on here who actually like Ricky Hatton?

I don't have any particular dislike for him. I do feel he's somewhat overrated in proportion to his actual skill level. Not a fan, but neutral.

Yet beating people half your size, being notoriously dirty E.G Headbutting, Hitting constantly below the belt and doing your best to spoil a fight during the entire course of your career reeks of class, doesn't it? you have a right to your opinion......but history will ALWAYS rate Hopkins higher than Hatton....even though Hatton has a better win lost .pct........get over it! Ricky Hatton is a world class over-hyped bum who'll get KTFO if he fights Ricardo Torres or any of the other elite 140 dudes.

A past his prime Tszyu in a British ref rigged dirty damn criminal assault of a fight. I like Hatton, but no way he beats prime Tszyu in a fair fight. No way at all. Tszyu ATG in my book. Clearly the monster of JrWW for many years. I also believe a prime Tszyu would have had too much for Hatton. I don't hate Hatton or anything, it is just pretty tough to like a guy who beats one of your favourites, particularly if you don't really find his style of fighting appealing. I respect what Hatton has achieved though, he is a very very good 140 pounder.

I'm from Puerto Rico and I like Ricky Hatton, I like his fighting style, he has heart and determination, I like his personality, he seems like a straight up guy and anyone who can move fans from Europe to America must have a hell of a personality.

I've liked Ricky since I saw him against Tszyu (incidentally, another of my favorites) Ricky is probably about #3 or 4 on my current favorite active list.

I think people have respect for Hatton, fame hasn't gone to his head (neither has the money) he still lives in manchester and drinks down the local boozer, he gives 100 % in every fight and admits when he hasn't fought well and was very determined to put it right when he lost, and he tries to fight the best out there. He has never shied away from anyone, and he would be willing to go at it with Maywether again. However, people acknowledge that Calzaghe has talent (and bags of it at that) but he will never get their complete respect unless he fights some people in their prime, now im a huge Calzaghe fan but i agree, he has never fought anyone while truley being world class, bar maybe Hopkins, but he is a freak of a human being, he will go on forever!
