I totally agree! Not all but 95% of the time when a bodybuilder shows up on the job he is all show & no substance.he's usually weaker then the other guys, first one cry in the heat or cold, misses more time than the drunks & crackheads & has more excuses why they can't do something & lastly they seem to be able to lift heavy weights in the gym but they are the first one to get hurt.oh my back,my arms,my legs, etc.we call them glitterboys.they are like little school girls! They get exposed pretty fast in my kind of work.even the women on site think they are all show & no substance.in my line if work if you got energy to go to the gym after work, you didn't work hard enough during the day.
You're making very good points and I appreciate that. Big muscles need lot of oxygen and in the gym you don't learn how to USE your strength nor how to use it without breaking your back etc.
Bodybuilding FAIL! (strength wise)
Yup, I've always thought that hard physical work gives you much more general strength than pumping iron where you always make the same moves. When working you need to use your limbs in different angles. Worked for 9 years as a roadie, didn't gain weight (it's impossible for me) but the gain in strength was clear and massive.

the only 6-pack I'll ever have is in the fringe & I think I'll start my daily workout in a few moments...ahhhh the nice taste of a miller genuine draft...I could have a wladlike body too if I stopped smoking dope, quit drinking beer, quit eating prime rib & potatoes...****ed that! I'm in okay shape,& girls still like me so forget it.while most guys are in the gym building their biceps,I'm outside in 30 above or 30 below weather building my pension, bank account ,& most importantly my country.I'm proud to be an Ironworker! I don't pump iron,I build iron bridges & skyscrapers, etc.

if anyone is in denial then they are blind.I don't care how hard they train.look at them, they have what 3% body fat? They use steroids.they are doctors in SPORTS MEDICINE! LOL! Hhhhmmmm I'd say they know what to use to prevent drug tests from detecting steroids.
True, though you can be in terrific shape even without steroids, genetics differ, no matter how much training and steroids everyone can't get ripped.
And they're not on the top only because of steroids, but because of all-round natural abilities, technique and training. Steroids make you able to train harder and more often by decreasing the time of recovery.
Also by accepting the 'fact' that almost everyone on the top juices makes it fair again, 'roider vs. 'roider.
the only guys who think they don't take roids are nuthuggers! I could list at least 5 guys that haven't posted yet that will soon post & defend them claiming hardwork & diet...if either klitschko told them to suck them off, they would...you know who you are.LOL!
Just curious here, but are any of you who are accusing them actually in shape? I hit the gym 4 days a week and my workout is nowhere near as intense as Wlads and Im in damn good shape. I have no doubt that if I wanted a Wlad-like physique I could achieve it without steroids.

if guys like toney & Botha who have Adonis figures have taken them then I have my suspect both klits used them at one time or another.they are doctors in sports medicine so they could easily screen their tests because they know exactly what to use.I've cheated & passed on 6 drug tests for work(coverup my pot use$)so I'm pretty sure they can screen their tests.come on todays athletes cheat all the time in every sport.I have no proof but I'd say they used them.
About a year ago I read an interview (sorry that I don't remember the URL, I'll post it if it comes across.) of an anonymous steroid expert who makes diets and steroid 'recipes' for professional athletes. He said that about 80% of top MMA competitors do steroids, I can't see why in boxing that would be different. Steroids are not only used for bulking up, they can also be used to improve stamina for example, different substances for different tasks.
If you use them the way they should be used, they hardly give you any problems. If you over-use them, they mess your own hormonal system also giving serious physical and mental side effects.
have you ever seen cunningham fight? the guy's lean as hell.
wlad has short limbs and is 6'6 and weighs 240~250lbs. that's ****ing heavy. for comparison: richard hamilton is 6'7 and weighs 190lbs.
Richard Hamilton may be that much lighter simply because his bones aren't as thick as Wlads.
Take a look at Wlads fist, compare it to Haye's fist (the picture from the arena) and you'll see that if Haye had 6 fingers in his hand the size would be about equal.
Wlad is big boned.
I'm 5'6", 123 lbs. and see people every day about my height who overweigh me by 10 or more pounds simply because their bones are thicker and they naturally carry more mass.
IMO, Bobby Lashley is a good example of a guy bulked up with use of steroids. Just look at his fists, they're very small for a guy his size. Also in college he used to wrestle at about 170 lbs. so I guess it's not only natural muscle.
First post.
You have all got to be ****ing kidding me. Every single world champion boxer almost these days uses steroids..How do you explain the insane immense punching power that emerged in the 70s, the 'golden era of heavyweights' which was right when steroids really boomed? It was 1962 in Winthorp Laboratories when the best one for boxing was synthesized, Winstrol. (I may be wrong about the name of the lab but I know that date is correct) There's no doubt in my mind that Ron Lyle and Earnie Shavers both used some kind of steroid. George Foreman is my favorite boxer, and I'm biased as a mother****er towards him so I'm not going to pass judgement on him but it would not suprise me. People, don't be blind...and don't think you wouldn't use them yourself if you became a winner, and the only thing that gave you the edge over your opponent was a shot in the ass...
I can tell you right now, just because someone isn't a large person can't mean they are steroid free.
Mosely,
Vinnie Paz, looked like a ****ing mutant
Jorge Arce
Mayorga I promise you
both Klitschkos, (I love Wlad, but it's obvious and if you disagree then keep walking around with your head in your ass like a goddamn ostrich)
Jones Jr,
I have a serious feeling Paciauo is using, look how his strength has doubled basically,
Say what you want about Tyson being big as a kid, the mother****er used steroids end of story.
Tommy Morrison admitted to using them before and after his amateur and professional careers.
We got James Toney..
remember these are all guys who got caught...
We have a line of guys admitting to the shit, and then other guys who just keep quiet and display results. Take a good, long look at the world champions and just stop being so goddamn naive.
I'd hate to start a riot on these forums but reading the top ten pound for pound list is like reading a who's who of roid users.
he's ****ing bulky. it's a possibility.
and don't bring cunningham up please. that guy is as thin as a stick. Wlad has massive arms, massive chest and massive legs/calves.
You mean this guy?
http://www.mightygloves.com/SteveCunningham092.jpg
My dad takes a prescribed steroid daily to keep from getting Gout. Damn roid junkie.
As for Wlad, I wish he was. Be fun seeing him with some roid rage.
I don't think so. Boxing isn't like Baseball, we take that shit serious.
as serious as a loaded glove that passed an inspector and had to be found by the opposing TRAINER?
I am talking about professional boxing. You are talking about Olympics. Vitali never used any steroids in his pro box career.
http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5619978#post5619978
No we can only say with any certainty that Vitali has never tested positive during his pro career.
The fact still remains that he has tested positive during his sporting career and has proved that he will take steroids when it suits him to.
