doubtful. Richard and Al Haymon are way to smart for Oscar. Richards going to go out on his own and promote all the Al Haymon fighters possibly in cohoots with floyd. Oscar has very few big names actually under GBP contract so that's why he's running back to bob to try and save his ass by ending the cold war so he has something to offer fighters that would stay with him when richard and oscar do part ways.
Logic tells me Bernard's gonna get steamrolled, but I would truly like to see him have a Pavlik like performance and then retire.
If he fights like he did against jones and/or calzaghe and gets the nod everyone will praise him but I'm just not into that sh*t.
Manny from Oscar to the JMM knockout *ss r*pes floyd with his foot and hand speed, chin, and punching power. Now just not the same animal.. too much thinking and that's floyd's game...
broner has the tools to win but he probably won't use them properly and I don't think people give prov the credit he deserves for the amount of pressure he puts on people..he forces them to fight to when he wants to...I think he just got a little complacent with algieri because he though he had it in the bag..
Id like to see floyds PPV numbers when he fought Cotto and Canelo vs when he fought guys with less name recognition compared against when cotto and canelo fought him vs guys with less name recognition.
I bet the difference in buys is comparable.
I give Cotto credit, but that slow mo of round 1 actually made Sergio's legs/balance look worse to me then I originally had noticed prior to him being hurt by a punch.
I had been taking Sergio's statement that he was fine until he got hurt by a punch in round 1 with a grain of salt, but I also took it into account for crediting Cotto's victory.
In that regard the video may have been a bit counterproductive and done more a of disservice to cotto rather than its intended purpose.
love bradley but he has been taking a lot of punishment. He's one of the truly good guys in the sport and hes proved his mettle and made some good money. I don't want to see him take too many more brutal shots myself. I can see the argument that he hasn't really won any of his last five fights. Even the fights he did probably edge he was on the receiving end of the worse of the punishment...not really a good long term look..
Teddy's not a bad guy but he's super annoying and i often completely disagree with his analysis. Last night the guy who won was throwing less but landing almost all of the clean effective punches. It was a close fight..typical activity (most of which was caught on the gloves) vs clean effective debate...no need to call for a public lynching of the judges for that one...a guy with teddy's experience in the game should be able to at least note such subtleties..
cosign valero. His DNA limits his foot speed no matter how hard he works and i believe he works hard. it might get a little better but it won't change much. He's a thick white mexican...He just doesn't have the natural athleticism in his legs/feet. He does have good coordination in his upperbody though...
floyd vs floyd one of the most boring UD's ever. Manny vs Manny one of the greatest fights ever. Fan of both but if you think different you should just mail in your life.
He gassed a little but that's because he went for broke in the first two. Did pretty damn well for the rest of the fight considering how much he threw at the guy early. As a fan, of course I want to see Bradley fight Ruslan again and I think if he fights the way he did against marquez he prob takes it running away but he knows there is a big risky "if" there...if you consider the physical damage that bradley took in that fight I'm sure he's in no rush to try his luck at it again. He's already made some good money and fight can happen anytime and sell, they are keeping it in the back pocket...Bradley won the boxing match Prov won the fight. All of Prov's loses are razor thin, he can be outboxed but he's no walk in anybodies park...
just what khan wants us all to be saying. honestly always said he was low on merit and still is but thought that possibly other than pac khan is def the worst style match up for floyd as anyone else with eyes has probably also noticed....
stylistically thurmans all wrong maidana...throwing really hard power shots off the back foot with good lateral movement...more power than alexander, khan, and mayweather...not a good match up for marcos...I'd be pulling for MM though he is truly a bad mofo
if you thought may pac sucked. which it did and you are calling for ward vs golovkin thinking its gonna be any different you're a real peach. same dynamic. styles make fights and those scenario's are eerily similar...would rather see golovkin fight other guys that will make entertaining fights..and ward is the much larger guy. he should be fighting the kovalevs and stevensons of the world and really making his stamp not harping on GGG for a boring points win to make a few bucks...
