Interesting interview by Khan. I'm a fan of him in the ring, I'm not sure if I remember the fight the way he tells it at 22 minutes on this new interview:

Sorry I can't embed it I'm on my phone.
He states how the maidana fight and Alexander are the two biggest wins of his career.
Destoyed and easy are 2 words hat do not belong to this fight..for 1 he won by 3 points on 2 cards and just by 1 on another..and he got his ass beat in round 10...he EARNED THAT WIN,
Hey Larry are you warning people that your a fake and shouldn't be trusted with your stupid hand shake picture ?
Khan fans trash Maidana yet Maidana is his best win.
Poor Khan needs to make his own way he isn't getting that fight he wants.
Khan vs Brook make it happen.
He had Khan Wobbled CLEARLY! Also the reason why he turned like that was because he was trying to CLINCH Maidana wouldn't let him but instead Khan held on to his Right Arm and turned his back and literally TURNED while Maidana was throwing Punches
Again nobody is denying Khan won, but he said he "Beat Maidana Easily" and that is a FUKIN LIE!
Of course he was wobbled and clinching was the smart thing to do. I don't see what Cortez did wrong by breaking a clinch there. Maidana was smothering his punches badly on the inside. It was to his benefit to create distance
Or you turn your back on your opponent.
Like Khan did.
Twice.
In one round.
He should have been deducted a point at best, could have been DQ.
No one should take your opinion seriously. You need professional help.
Take away the perfect body-shot in the 1st that stunned Maidana for 3 rounds, and the fight is much closer overall.
Lol that's a ridiculous statement. How about this for another one:
"Take away khans arms and the fight is much closer overall."
What is with all these hypothetical situations in this thread?
Khan destroyed Maidana fairly easy, even Maidana admitted that if there was 30 seconds left in the first round after he took that body shot he wouldn't have made it out of the first round.
Let's face it, Khan needed one attempt to school Maidana while Floyd needed 2 attempts to look pretty ordinary against him. And the version of Maidana that Khan fought was fresh and hadn't been in as many wars as when Floyd finally fought him (almost a shot version of Maidana by that point) and of course we all know he ducked Khan just so he could fight Khan's leftovers.
:lol1: :lol1:
This fight was fight of the year for a reason. And it wasn't because it was a one-sided schooling that's for sure.
what?? are you talking about a different fight?? in the Maidana-Khan fight..2 judges had Khan winning by 3 rounds while one had it 1 point apart
he wasn't saying maidana would've won, he said that the fight would've been a lot closer. in fact, the elbow was to cortez not khan :lol1:

Maybe Khan should go watch that fight again. Sure, he dropped Maidana early with a great bodyshot but Maidana got up and pressed on, much like he did in the Ortiz fight. Had Khan been this devastating boxer like he thinks that he is, then Maidana would have never even made it to the 2nd round.
As the fight progressed, Khan was FORCED into fighting off of the ropes and got punished until he himself almost hit the deck. Also, Maidana was deducted a point for an illegal punch and had that point not been taken away, he would have won by MD with one judge having it a draw and the other two having him winning by merely one point. For some reason, he seems to think he won by a landslide but it would appear that he squeaked by with a narrow victory, at least according to the judges. But, what should we expect from a guy who calls himself a "king" and refers to himself in the third person?

It was a very good win for Khan, put his name out there at LWW and gained many hardcore fans respect, Khan certainly dominated Maidana for the first 3/4 of the fight but when Maidana caught him flush he took Khan to hell and back - I also think Ariza deserved a lot of credit for his conditioning on Khan for that fight, I think that's what kept Khan on his feet despite clearly being hurt.
All I remember is Khan barely surviving at the end of that fight! One more round and he would have gotten stopped!
Lol it's a 12 round fight mate not 13 so that doesn't matter. Agree it was a hell of a rough fight for him.
