Either he sucks it up with GB and is forced to kiss Arum's ass in a professional way. Or, he joins Floyd becomes third man to Ellerbe and Haymon plus a lowball salary from Floyd.
I see Oscar winking " checkmate!"
Lol at this Floyd fanboys saying the world will end without Schaefer and Haymon. Schaefer broke a lot of relationships along the way. There's no doubt GBP is stacked with fighters with recognizable names which HBO help build up. But where are they? They seldom fight. Showtime don't have deep pockets. They put all their eggs in one unprofitable Mayweather basket. They failed. Oscar don't have choice but to fix the mess they created.
You honestly believe the guy that in a span of 13 months has had 3 PPVs total almost 4 million sold and probably close to 400 million dollars generated is a bad investment and not turning a profit. You need to get with reality
naive and jealous..he is upset floyd has surpassed him in earnings..floyd in 7 years made more money than oscar made in his entire career.
oscar is currently making more money than floyd, hell he even makes money out of floyd... GBP > TMT...

it's you who is naive...there's a lot of guys in the business world who are better skilled than schaefer. oscar can fire schaefer and hire another one if he wants to. gbp's success doesn't end with schaefer.
It's not just about whether he can replace Schaefer another, but the relationships Schaefer has formed with the people in the industry. At the end of the day, when Oscar was getting coked up, Schaefer would have been networking for the company.
That being said, I wasn't getting at that primarily. Oscar is simply a fool for trusting the owner of a rivalling company, whilst allowing that same man to stir the pot on his company's internal affairs.
Schaefer has done a great job for us boxing fans. Getting us some of the best fights like Mares vs De Leon and Matts vs Swift as co features on ppv's and also fights like Maidana vs broner with a stacked undercard. I really do hope everything works out between him and Oscar. If Richard doesn't want to work with Arum he should just let Oscar handle it and he should just work with Showtime and Al Haymon. Doesn't mean he can't go to the HBO events and make this money.
Lol ppl on this site are astounding with how they think the world works. Well I'm just going to sit back abd enjoy the (non) rude as nothing changes. U think Haymon is going away? Bahahahaha. U think Schafer is going away if he doesbt want to? Do ppl understand that he's the one that brings in all the GBP investments etc? He has contacts, he gas support. He's not in any trouble. It's obvious he doesn't care about potentially leaving GBP. Yet he's screwed. Silliness
Schaeffer being let go shouldn't surprise anyone seeing as that Oscar has the power to do so if he so wishes. I doubt Oscar lets him go though, they seem to be extremely good friends and have been for quite some time. I think Schaeffer will cut ties with Haymon before he cuts ties with Oscar.

I see Oscar winking " checkmate!" you are a jealous dumbass. Schaefer, mayweather, ellerbe, and hayman together is a powerful ticket. Arum will be the one thats kissing ass you weak punk
There's a greater chance of GB getting screwed over. Schafer is, at the end of a day, an employee, who has marketable skills. I doubt he'll have any problem living off of the money he has earned up until now, or finding alternative work, should he decide to leave GBP.
I would, however, say that GBP is at risk. The moment Arum took the words De La Hoya said, in confidence, public, was the moment it became clear to me that Arum doesn't have good intention. Business wise, they went from having their nearest rival on the back foot, to offering being plagued with internal issues whilst extending their rival a helping hand.
De La Hoya is naive.

Happy days are already over for Haymon and Schaefer long time ago. Their Berto-type deals they've pulled off at HBO can no longer be made because Showtime don't have deep pockets.
They thought, in collusion with amateur Espinoza, they're going to make truckloads of money off of Mayweather's PPVs. LOL. How can you make money with a greedy guy whose guarantee would impoverish any network? It's so stupid.
GBP/TR will be the future in boxing for many generations to come. Oscar and Todd will be just fine. This is great for fans.

Couldn't disagree with you more, If Oscar was the chess playing business minded person you make him out to be he wouldn't have waited untill this point to do something, I don't think Oscar holds any power I look at the situation and I see Oscar as the loser in this.
If you think Oscar has the business sense to beat a Swiss Banker(Shaeffer) , A Harvard alumni ( Haymon) and a lawyer ( Espinoza) Then you give him more credit then me.
It'll be Check mate Oscar, Go run back to your original father Arum.

De La Hoya is naive.
Al haymon isnt going to be involved in promoting,, he is basically a sports agent for boxers, much like how NFL, NBA guys have agents... Haymon's sole purpose is to get the best deal for his guys, and he does an outstanding job at it.... He has used his relationship with floyd to recruit an army of boxers, but he isnt going to start a promotion company..
GBP was the only outfit big enough besides top rank to handle floyd's fights, and haymon used that leverage to get his guys like thurman, porter, quillen showcased on GBP cards...
In regards to tricky dick schafer,, The dude is a swiss banker, he will be fine,, He may be done in the boxing business or he may stay around, but either way, the guy is gonna be ok..
richard is a double crossing cunt
he is finished, he has like 5 fighters with haymon, watch him get sued now after his dirty thieving tricks were caught out
doubtful. Richard and Al Haymon are way to smart for Oscar. Richards going to go out on his own and promote all the Al Haymon fighters possibly in cohoots with floyd. Oscar has very few big names actually under GBP contract so that's why he's running back to bob to try and save his ass by ending the cold war so he has something to offer fighters that would stay with him when richard and oscar do part ways.
