I love boxing and would take it over UFC any day. but The Contender doesn't have enough boxing in it. I like all of you wanna see every minnute of every fight and i don't wanna be treated like an idiot with all those sound effects. I wanna see more training and sparring and less time in the dressing room re-uniting with family members. The Ultimate Fighterwas great cause they were training and fucking eachother up and then fighting, and we could see the whole fight.
Tito ruined Vargas' career, he beat the shit out of him. It is like when announcers talk about fighters getting old right in front of you such as Morales with Pacquaio. Vargas is done with boxing unless he wants to start fighting B level fighters. He shouldnt move up, some big middleweight punchers.
I saw the fight and I aint about to start counting punches, but that is how the scoring in amateur boxing is done unfortunately. But I watched the fight and it looked like in round 1 especially that you were trying to score and not box. You threw your punches so light that maybe the judges though they were punches to measure distance like reaching out instead of real punches. When you hit him it was not hard, when he hit you it was obvious you got hit, maybe you should work on following thru with your punches, you seemed to stop on impact, punch thru the guy. it definately was not a blow out by any stretch of the imagination. After a year id think id see better from a fighter. Your technique looked good with the head movement but I don't see a lot of fight in you.
Roy fought some good opposition mostly erly in his career. Pazienza, griffin, hopkins, toney, and he beat Ruiz and he beat Tarver once should have left it alone tho. RJJ is the man leave him alone. He's smart he made money, won belts, made history and still has his health not too many boxers can say that.
Burton in 26 fights only has 3 knockouts on his record and two of them are TKO's. The fact is that true boxing fans know Emanuel's talent and know that this fight would be good and entertaining and that is what we want to see. I'd watch it for sure.
Sometimes i can't stand boxing forums for this exact reason. Boxing people are some of the worst fans and spectators. If a guy wins and wins and is never tested you question him. But if a guy makes a mistake gets tested then bounces back and knocks the guy's head off you say he was exposed. Come on guys lets take a second and think before we make stupid ass comments. It's stupid he got caught with a hard shot by a guy that was once his sparring partner. The most important thing is that he got back up and knocked him the fuk out.
I'm not saying Hatton isn't better than Gatti I was making an all around point that if Hatton thinks and he said this that Luis Collazzo was strong then Gatti would hurt him really bad. i do not see how u can disagree with that.
First of all Terrell Owens is not ripped because of tension bands, he is ripped because he is in the weight room hours after everyone else leaves the facility with his personal; trainer. And yes it is a lot about genetics, there are 3 body types: exomorph, mesomorph and endomorph. The body type with skinny but muscular guys is exomorph, mesomorph is the guys that get cut up and look like they have huge muscles but in shape and endomorph are guys who just a normal round shape but can be very strong. pre-dtermined genetics.
Rahman didn't beat his ass he hrew 300 more punches and outlanded Tonwey by 16, and Toney is a counterpuncher, that is what he does he throws after you throw.
I had it around a draw i can't really argue with the judge's decision i totally disagree with Harold Lederman though, Rahman threw a lot more but it was decieving, Toney had a handle on that fight. He should have made it more obvious though.
Calzaghe throws a hell of a lot of punches but Lacy was letting himself get hit Roy don't fight like that. Also Calzaghe threw a lot yesterday but does not even come clsoe to the power that Tarver and Johnson has. Roy could definately beat Calzaghe, i'd watch it.
