There's nothing wrong in backing fighters from your own country, as long as you don't get overly agressive about it yeah everyone picks home based fighter, why wouldnt you.

I thought Lacy would win the fight, especially after the performance against Reid, and JC's latest performance. I was wrong, no big deal. Not to mention that Lacy is American, and I'll always pick the homeland guy over the foreign guy. I think (no offense to our American friends) that an under-hyped American boxer comes along once in a generation. It's not that American boxers aren't any good (hell, they are often great) it's just that, good or bad, they will INEVITABLY get a degree of hype. In the US hyping is just a cultural thing, and once you understand this you get the feeling there's nothing really wrong about it (nothing really great either though). Thrash talking though is an entirely different matter. As for the Calzaghe-Lacy fight, I was rooting for Calzaghe but must admit I did not discount the Lacy hype enough so I was afraid Lacy will stop JC. I also want to point out that Lacy indeed took JC's punishment like a man for the full 12 rounds. It takes some gut to do that. And you cannot do what JC did without a healthy dose of brilliance.

.....You guys who are owed money by Raesaad will get paid. Lacy is his favorite fighter and he is probably in shock today. Give him a couple of days to recuperate. Also, his home computer was having problems and he was mainly going on from work. That means you should definitely hear from him tomorrow.
