i like the whole hbo team, i think together they all do a good job. they can be biased, i some times dont agree with what they say, but for the most part they do a great job. i also am a big fan of joe tessitore and teddy atlas. steve albert and nick charles are funny looking . . .
guzmans seems old, always has weight issues and def got no pop at 135 ... i think guzman gets stopped late. still would like to see it tho ... good fight of contrasting styles
the more i get into boxing in the last couple years the more and more i hate the UFC. i watch it and can still enjoy it from time to time. but boxing is better in so many levels . . .
can we all agree
that collectively
we miss him...

i miss him i think he is a genius in the ring . . . but it was either step up or retire and i am glad he retired instead of fighting dlh again
I don't see where he has better technique. He doesn't have a big arsenal of punches. His hooks look funny, he has a basic strong 1-2, and throws good body shots. AA can throw any type of punch. He is more than a match for Pav and I expect AA to take Pav out because of his flimsy defense.
i totally disagree with this . . . pavlik has an is known for his 1-2 but he has every other punch in his arsenal as well. he has right/left hooks and a good uppercuts and does excellent body work he has good power in both hands and is suppose to be ambidextrous . . . so whats missiing from his arsenal?!?!?
also this guy says pav is overrated!?!? but still has him in his top 10 p4p . . . so he's only slightly overrated in your opinion!?!? i really haven;t seen pav as high as 2 or 3 in p4p and its all opinion anyways right . . .
this will be a tough fight for the both of them . . . i think moiltor has the tools to beat pelenchin especially if his having an off night . . . but if hes on his game that night molitor's going to have a hard time.
also pelenchin looked really good in his last fight . . . so we'll have to see.
i dont know if americans can access it but www.tsn.ca/boxing has some of molitors last fights so if anyones interested they can take a look at what he has to offer.
i wouln;t call him 'very feather fisted' he has obvious snap to his punches . . . in no way is he heavy handed, but he has a enough power to control guys. i think he punches harder then his KO record makes him appear, but he so defensive and always moving that he doesn't really sitdown on his punches.
Katsidis should be able to pull off the win . . . i don't think stamina will be an issue, Katsidis has been in wars and will not be broken by diaz and his pitty-patting. katsidis is the one going into the ring with any true power he'll back diaz up, maybe he wont outwork him but should land the cleaner harder shots just like nate did. and as for chin i dont think katsidis has much to worry about . . .
my prediction Katsidis win by SD
i think miranda's improved since their last bout, he's been more patient waiting for the punch and not wasting as much energy trying to blow the other opponent out. i really hope he takes care of business and takes abraham out . . . and if his jaw gets broken again that the right thing will happen and the fight will be stopped.
also no excuses miranda had him badly hurt early and he should have been able to take abraham out in they're first fight, he has to be better then he was the first time.
i think he'll beat or give anyone a hard fight in middle/super-middle . . .
he showed he has a lot of heart and i would love to see him get back in the ring. him vs. Lacy would be good comeback fight, since there little threat and lacy is somewhat of a name. hopefully it'll be better then the lacy/manfredo which was a real bore . . .
i really haven't been impressed by him in any of his last 4-5 wins . . . maybe he deserves to be there but it would mean taking out more deserving boxers imo.
i really hope he blows-out the 'king' i like miranda a lot and he was robbed in their first match. should have been a tko stoppage, i respect abraham for his heart in that bout but i think miranda deserves this win and maybe should get another crack at Pavlik. it would be a more interesting fight then pavlik-rubio. if he gets past abraham miranda-kessler would be really interesting as well . . . if abraham beats miranda i would like to see him fight pavlik!
Miranda's ripped and ready to go . . . hopefully this fight wont go to the cards, no more controversy and we see who's really the best of the 2 of them.
alvardo looked real dry and face pretty drawn in ... still has to shed 1lb lets see how this effects his performance. personally thinking ruslan's taking this though
it was def a strange circumstance ... he made it seem like it was more his thumb not hand. i thought it was legit and maybe inside the glove it dislocated and then popped back into place. but only he knows and its true its possible that he was faking ...
i will never pay for a margarito fight. but of all the potential matchups with him involved this is one id actually be curious to see. the only real positive of a mayorga upset was this potential matchup cause it would def be all action.
I guess but it's Lou's job to sell Sergio not HBO's job to put Sergio in against someone he will dominate to look good.
well u coulda fooled me with some of the matchups hbo been allowing on the air ... namely one just recently with alvarez vs hattton.
that was a pretty solid double header ... i thought the card woulda always been better with andrade vs dawson anyways. hope they can secure that matchup if they do i would def consider going live
