This will be one to look forward to. :biggthump
There is one thing I have to give props to Molitor is that he is a very active champ. I want to see this fight just to see how it stylistically comes out.
i wouln;t call him 'very feather fisted' he has obvious snap to his punches . . . in no way is he heavy handed, but he has a enough power to control guys. i think he punches harder then his KO record makes him appear, but he so defensive and always moving that he doesn't really sitdown on his punches.
good for the sport in canada... but i mean... molitor is VERY FEATHER FISTED so there ain't no way in hell he is stopping caballero....
either one of them is going to win this by a split decision or a close one...
i think molitor will outbox caballero though.
this will be a tough fight for the both of them . . . i think moiltor has the tools to beat pelenchin especially if his having an off night . . . but if hes on his game that night molitor's going to have a hard time.
also pelenchin looked really good in his last fight . . . so we'll have to see.
i dont know if americans can access it but www.tsn.ca/boxing has some of molitors last fights so if anyones interested they can take a look at what he has to offer.
If this fight comes off we will really see if Molitor is for real or not. I personally really like Molitor; the guy is slick and a joy to watch offensively. I have always felt that he is very much underrated and people write him off as just another title holder, well this fight is the chance to prove how good he really is. Caballero is a beast at super-bantam and would be Molitor's biggest challange and this fight would no doubt be very close, but I will stick to my guns and go with Molitor by decision. 5'11" is freakishly tall for the 126lb division and Molitor is going to have difficulty in dealing with that and Caballero's power which fighters like Ponce De Leon have been unable to cope with.
Hopefully Celestino can come through the Parra fight, which will be a very hard fight in its own right, and then this fight can be made. Looking further down the line, fights with the Mexican trio (Marquez, Vasquez and Ponce De Leon) would all be attractive for the winner.
Molitor decision. Although i may be slightly biased as i've only seen Caballero once, but Molitor impresses me, that i see him hard to beat.
I agree with you, though I'm biased being a Canadian. It will be a close fight, either could win a decision.
It's good for the sport of boxing to have unification matches like these!
