Pryor was the better boxer( when he chose to) and harder puncher, on top of fighting in a better era than Ricky. It would be a great fight, until Aaron started to slowly break him down and stopped in mid to late rounds.
Camacho? Chavez?
Some people just dont know boxing. Box-rec is the king for dicks.
Yes, Chavez. Chavez probably peaked at 135, but was still damn good at 140 lbs. The Chavez of the late 80s/early 90s at 140 beats Hatton.
Camacho was very good at 130/135, but was declining by the time he hit 140. That would be a somewhat interesting, yet very boring, matchup.
I don't know enough to comment on Pryor, but his record on the surface looks nothing special, lots of fighters with lots of losses being KO'd.
I'm positive there is more to it than that but rose tinted spec's might be being worn aswell.
Not that I think hatton is remotely ATG material.
Pryor was a beast that Leonard avoided for a reason.
If you scroll up, it looks like Left Hook Tua has been unbanned.
Yeah, Leonard had more lucrative (and challenging) options, in his own weight class.
Who takes this and why? i think it could be quite explosive.
aaron was as tough as ricky and had a better chin imho. that along with being better skilled wins it for aaron.
prime pryor beats prime kostya. i like ricky but he doesn't beat kostya with a few less miles on the odometer let alone the prime kostya.
besides aaron will have his special water.
I'd take Pryor....but I wouldn't be sure about it.
I don't really rate Hatton but the performance he put in vs tszyu would be a handful for anyone. It's a shame that was his peak, cos right now he's a KO waiting to happen (again).
imagine hatton wasn't from the uk. now analyze the fight.
There is not a single elite 140er that Hatton could beat.
Duran
Whitaker
Mayweather
Chavez
Meldrick
Benitez
Camacho
Delahoya
Mosley (skipped)
Tszyu (prime)
etc...
Ricky just isn't on that level. No shame . Few are.
It really doesn't take long for you to get banned again. What did he do?
