Is anyone else excited about Jermain Taylor's return?

Cant wait to watch him fight again now that he seems to have reformed into a better, smarter and more patient fighter. We saw the new drive and fire he had in the countdown to the rematch and during the fight. Maybe he should have been more aggressive, but the improvement and focus was there. Who knows, if he does great, there may be a rubber match down the road with Pavlik again. I am looking forward to it. I hope he does well. NOT sure if I want to see a Pavlik rematch, though.

Taylor knocks out that bum Kessler. Would most probably beat him. No way he KOs him though. Kessler has a very good chin, probably his best attribute.

i think he'll beat or give anyone a hard fight in middle/super-middle . . . he showed he has a lot of heart and i would love to see him get back in the ring. him vs. Lacy would be good comeback fight, since there little threat and lacy is somewhat of a name. hopefully it'll be better then the lacy/manfredo which was a real bore . . .

Pavlik is the only man in the division who could beat taylor on that cold night of the rematch... Taylor is still a beast.

I got a little annoyed with Taylor, over his work rate and his conditioning (lack of) the last few times I saw him fight. He put on a good showing in the Pavlik rematch, though, and I'm hoping he'll continue to show that sort of discipline from now on. Still needs to let his hands go more. Regarding a rubbermatch.....I don't know if he deserves one unless he really comes alive in the ring during his next few matches.

i'm curious to why you think taylor has become a better fighter because he looks like the same fighter that fought spinks wright and ouma the experience humbled him mentally and it manifested physically against Pavlik. he showed something he seldom showed in previous fights in the rematch. thats a very good sign.

There was nothing wrong with his losses to Pavlik, hes in the middle of a great career. Hes beaten some of the biggest names in the sport. He's the kind of fighter to learn from losses and grow as a boxer.

Reports about him being vastly overweight are bogus; he was shown on the local news a few nights ago sparring with his trainer's nephew, middleweight Jonathan Nelson (4-0) who is on the Berto undercard in Memphis this weekend. Shirt off he looked bigger, probably 190. Not soft at all, just not cut up like he is before a fight. Definitely not James Toney proportions. I'm excited to see him fight again. I think the Pavlik fights made him a better fighter, and the loss of his belts and L's on his record have made him hungry again, like he was before the first Hopkins fight. With Pavlik being the most hyped American fighter to break onto the scene in a long time, it's easy to forget that Taylor came really close to beating him, not once but twice.

I'd like to see Taylor - Froch for the vacant WBC title.

Depends who it's against, I really like Taylor always have. I thought he won the 2nd Pavlik fight but It was really a pick 'em fight. I don't want him to face Lacy because I like Lacy more. I want Lacy to get some of that fire back and demolish some people. I would like to see Taylor-Bute or Taylor-Kessler.
