hatton will loose 2 of his next three fights if he stays at 147...
wiliiams beats him... cotto beats him...
even cintron and margarito would be more favoured in that...
maybe even clottey
but if he wants to be a true 2 weight champion he has to stay at 147, if he goes down 2 140 again it will mean that even he knows he can't win
i agree with your theory... but you picked the worst examples possible
(except arguably van gogh)
how is 2pac overratted? (you must not know about his genre)
how is pele overated? you say maradonna was better but they played in different era's.... either way he's top 3 all time...
and you said retired also... last time i checked maradonna is retired aswell!!!
and jimi hendrix? well i won't even bother...
This was my posted top five p4p list two days ago:
1. Mannie Pacquiao
2. Joe Calzaghe
3. Ricky Hatton
4. Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
5. Kelly Pavlik
Two fights down, one to go.
this list is a joke and you know it...
what are you basing it on?
skill? achievements?
floyd has done it in 5 weight classes!!!!!
he is also the most skilled boxer in in the sport..
ricky hatton and kelly pavilk make your list a joke!!
no... no he's not... period
nice try though,
did kessler look that good to you?
joe basically admitted that kessler isn't a great boxer after the fight
we both know floyd has a much better resume...
if you disagree with me on that, then there's no point in me even arguing my point..
you know and evrybody knows floyd has fought good fighters!!!
or is it all just a conspiracy haha
its very simple... the reason joe calzaghe isn't considered no1 p4p is the calibre of fighters he's fought
he beat everybody he fought well and he did for over a decade... but which great fighter has he beat?
if Cotto beats Mosley HOW DO YOU FIGURE THAT?
i'm thinking style wise... the match up
cotto can be hit and isn't as fast... mayweather has fought fighters with waht cotto brings to the table..
depending on whether shane is still able, that would be the tougher fight imo
there's clearly money in a fight against cotto....
cotto would be an easier opponent that williams AND mosley for floyd
i think most people would agree..
he just doesn't want arum getting another huge payday off him. but then again i don't think it will matter seeing as shane will probably win.
i honestly don't think he's afraid of any of these guys, the only guy he should be afraid of is the guy he is saying he will fight (mosley)
there's no one left...
although he would have impressed me more if he had fought some of those fighters in their prime...
i think we can all agree on that
BH is the best option, but its too late
Robin Reid, Chris Eubank... both great names on Calzaghe's record. Both better on anyone on Hatton's record, other than Tszyu.
chris eubank was finished... FACT he had been losing before this fight and he lost after
i'm not sure where robin reid was...
and even then i'd disagree
Alot of ppl duck Calzaghe, hbo.com has already said that alot of boxers ask for a ridiculous amount of money to fight Calzaghe including roy jones jr and bernard hopkins.
even if that's true... (which it isn't entirely)
it doesn't change the facts, so you are basically agreeing right now (as any logical person would)
frank warren is a shady character, and joe has himself blamed frank on numerous occasions...
joe could have just gone to america, fought a couple fights to build up buzz like hatton... i believe he could have done it!!!
i don't think his camp would....
if you are that great and your management does what they're supposed to you can't be avoided..
look at hatton
this is what i mean!!!
ricky's record looks better.... and now he's fighting floyd mayweather!!!!!
even if he looses he'll end up fighting a loser of the mosley-cotto fight or the cintron-williams fight or margarito...
if he gets through all this and does well... then there is no comparison
even if you call them even... you have to realise that nobody is calling hatton top3 for his record!!! so far
that plus the fact that hatton is 28 and is fighting floyd himself in his next fight says it all!!
even if he looses he'll have faced tougher opponents
we'll never knoew if calzaghe was as good as floyd because he never will have fought a single p4p's in and around their prime...
i for one think he could have done alright... but even his latest oppostion has been good not great
name one great fighter he fought... (eubank obviously doesn't count)
1 rampage was wearinf ufc gloves and byrd had boxing gloves..
2 byrd was throwing combinations, whereas rampage threw a single full power shot....
3 they are probably about the same size... byrd is a soft hitting guy at HW
that being said rampage hits fckin hard!!!
low blows>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>...elbows
low blows are even worse than rabbit punches.. he admitted trhe reason he did it was because he was hurt....
joe really didn't do himself any favours this past week
of course it's not possible that he actually thought hopkins won right?
"he's clearly jealous just like everyone else who scored it for hopkins" lol..
he prefers clean punching over workrate and he's been consistent with that, thats why he had taylor beating pavlik by a couple of rounds in their last fight
stop looking for excuses...
lots of threads have been made about analysts and boxers who think popkins won and in every thread the same calzaghe fans are looking for some motive behind why they might score it for popkins...
maybe alot of people just think he won in a close match
why does everybody keep saying he doesn't have the size or power?
he's 6'3 and if he adds 20 or 25 pounds which he can and will he'll be 6'3 and 225 pounds that easily a heavyweight.
he has alot of power maybe not wlad or peter power... but he has got it
