I say yes. Ricky will retire undefeated, and will become the 2nd greatest fighter of all time, after David Haye.
Here's why.
-Ricky is a man of the people
-Ricky is a nice lad
-Ricky doesnt bad mouth fighters
-Ricky likes a fry up
-Ricky doesnt mind the odd Beer
-Ricky is the people's champion
-Really, ricky is a such a nice guy
Hatton by knockout in Round 7, mayweather's getting knocked out, Hatton is so talented and everybody understimates him, seriously, i havent seen a fighter as good as hatton since the legendary Howard 'the birdman' Eastman.
Come on ricky, do it for Manchester, the birthplace of crime and poverty.

If it means anything, you are the 10th person to predict a 7th round finish via Hatton..
I believe just the opposite. Hatton will gas by the 6th round and get finished in either round 8 or 9...
Only if he manages to pull out a win Saturday and returns to 140, or retires. But even if he returns to 140, a big money fight will come up at 147 again and he will most likely lose that one (against Cotto, Williams, etc) so I say no.
Hatton fans stand up...I say hell no..

If those last 3 are agasinst
Hopkins/Winky
Dawson
Pavlik
He will lose 2 out of the 3.
If they are Froch...lol.
Woods...lol.
Manfredo rematch...lol.
Then he will retire undefeated and boxing will forget he ever existed.
How the hell are you 36 years old with NO meaningful wins over ELITE competition???
calzaghe had his opportunity to come to the states years ago to face hopkins or jones and really make his mark on the sport, he thought he was the name and that they should travel to cardiff, to me he'll always have a question mark over him
hatton will loose 2 of his next three fights if he stays at 147...
wiliiams beats him... cotto beats him...
even cintron and margarito would be more favoured in that...
maybe even clottey
but if he wants to be a true 2 weight champion he has to stay at 147, if he goes down 2 140 again it will mean that even he knows he can't win
To retire from the sport of Boxing due to health problems or risking serious injury is by no means a way out, while the heart, soul, and mind wish to continue but the body can't take anymore....and having to "involuntary" retire, that is acceptable.
However, retiring cause you "have-nothing-more-to-prove" is a cop out. Which i believe no one should use as an excuse. If some one threatens your family...it doesn't make you any less of a man if you do what you gotta do, and walk away. But anyway, doubt an elite fighter walks just to preserve an unblemished record. Pride is a mood changer.
his next fight at 147 will be a loss, but its all part of the process of becoming good in that division.
If he stays down at 140, i think hes got a chance at lasting the next 3 years without losing. Hes that dominant down there. but most of the big money fights for hatton are at 147 so he'll go up eventually.
All hes got left is carrales or castillo. He's gotta hope that his fight against carrales or castillo can turn into a war and eventually a great trilogy. Its certainly possible.
Only if he retires right now!
I doubt it but its not impossible, Ricky looked awful last time out, so I don't know if he has peaked. A natural 147 with power beats him though.
Nobody retires undefeated...
Not even the Floyd Jr...
Sven Ottke?????
I also can not see anybody beating Joe Calzaghe either since he says he only has 3 fights left.
