at first i was very suspicious onto why he didnt want blood tests, but then i saw his 2005 interview explaining he felt the blood test he took early onto the Morales fight made him feel weak. WWE is not fighting. i enjoy watching combat sports period. i first got into MMA, then i started training muay thai, then i got into boxing. Boxing right now is my favorite one to watch. When i spar i tend to like the boxing aspect more, but u gotta be well rounded in anything you do.

physically, there is not that much of a difference of the past top fighters to the present top fighters. But where the gap lies IMO is the absolute knowlege of the sport. Today we have video recordings, nutritionists and specific gameplans for specific fighters. For example, the Pac vs Hatton fight. Freddy Roach explained how he and Moore studied Hatton and ever single niche of his for 12 weeks by watching videos. They knew exactly what kind of game plan to implement in order to win. I feel the past fighters fought with less of their brain in order to prepare for a fight than today's fighters.

The majority of Fedor's wins come by submission. Arlovski should go for broke and fling his limbs like a retard. Fedor stood agaisnt Cro Cop, one of the most feared kickboxers @ the time before he got shot. If u watch much of Fedors fights, he knocks em down, and then submits them. Fedor is getting old though, so u never know.
Zab has above average hand speed, his cardio just isnt up to par. Zab cannot fight backwards, meaning when his opponents catch his style and start putting pressure on him, he crumbles easily. If he stopped relying so much on his offensive power (which i beleive is one of the best in the buisness) he would have been one hell of a force if he upped his defense. Simply put, he just wasnt an all around fighter. When u put him in situations he wasnt used to, he crumbled like a cookie.

Anyways i feel Pacmans punches are to fast and accurate when ricky goes in. Pacquiao will use his foot work to frustrate ricky and make him think twice when rushing in. Pacman has been much better at controlling his aggression which i believe is due to his age. He picks his spots and uses the right time when to pick up the pace and fight.

In regards to what we're talking about, you look at a sport like MMA. Almost every fighter, probably 99% of these guys have taken losses at some point in their careers. You hardly have any established guys in there with '0's

boxing does entertain real boxing fans. If u arent entertained by the art then you are more into fighting, not boxing i box, (kickbox actually) and i do appreciate Floyds talent no doubt. But even as a boxing fan who practices the sport, i can safely say Floyd can sometimes be a bit dull to watch. After he counters or "pot shots" if you will he clinches right away with little action after. I can see his "perfection" and skills, but yet there are certain aspects that he doesnt really fulfill. All in all, the problem i have with him is that he fights to win, not to finish.

the best bet is cotto. I think if it goes to the score cards, they will give it to Cotto (even if he really lost). Cotto is way too important for the sales in boxing IMO. Aside from that, i really hope Cotto wins (fairly), but i see it playing out just like the last fight. I hope im wrong, and Cotto has the stamina to last.
