Marquez
Morales twice
Barerra twice
Oscar
Diaz
Hatton is about to lose too
vs Floyd
Castillo twice
Corrales
Oscar
Hatton @ 147
This isnt even an alltime great resume
That really show that Manny P is not at Mayweather level. He would start underdog against a guy who coming out of retirement :lol1:
You do know betting odds have very little to do with who the majority of boxing experts are picking to win the fight right??
Just one of them threads no one is ever going to agree. But in MY opinion Pacman has a better resume than Floyd, although it is quite close call. Floyds hand picks his oponents where as Pac is willing to fight anyone. Floyd avoiding certain fights (Marg/Cottos) i'm willing to bet the little phillipino would have a crack at marg if Arum/Roach would allow it, pac would fight anyone if he could.
naw you just made your self look like a fool..pactards realize now that he can't stand up tp floyd on any level.
saskul, and ledwaba are not going to the hof genaro, and castillo are. barrera did not have a title when he fought pac:fingersx:
so you still failed to explain why pac is only .500 in championship fights
and only has 5 title defenses:trink26:
this should be fun
Barrera was the recognized lineal Ring Champ at 126. Winning the WBC belt from Erik Morales but refusing to accept the belt smart guy. If you wann go the hall of fame route.....
Barrera = HOF
Morales = HOF
Larios = HOF
Marquez = HOF
DLH =HOF
Some of Floyd's title defenses are a joke.
Who in their right mind actually believed Bruseles deserved a title shot??
lets see who did pac beat to get those titles:
112--Chatchai Sasakul--wbc--(Recognized lineal/ring champ)
122--Lehlohonolo Ledwaba--IBF (Vacant ring champ. #1rated by ring)
126--Marco Antonio Barrera--(Recognized lineal/ring champ)
130--Juan Manuel Marquez--WBC (great win) (Recognized lineal/ring champ)
140--Ricky Hatton--IBF--(Recognized lineal/ring champ)
TBD
Floyd Mayweather jr
130--HOFer Genaro Hernandez --WBC (Recognized lineal/ring champ)
135--HOFer Jose Kuis Castillo--WBC (Recognized lineal/ring champ)
140--HOFer Arturo Gatti --WBC
147--Carlos Baldomir--WBC (Recognized lineal/ring champ)
154--HOFer Oscar De La Hoya--WBC
so there you have it. floyd has defeated multiple ring, HOF caliber champions and pac has just one:fingersx:
you pactards better quit while you're ahead
Fixed it for ya.
1.what was pac's prime weight -- floyds 130
2. how many championship fights--floyd so far 18-0
3. how many title defenses-- floyd 12-0
4. how many sanctioned titles did he win in different weight classes floyd 5 weight classes
now lets really see how pac measures up:
1. prime weight ??? flyweight 112
2. 6-3 in championship fights 1 loss and 2 draws
3. 5 title defenses
4. 4 titles WBC 112, IBF 122, WBC 130, WBC 135
in conclusion pac is one of the weakest multi-divisional champions I have ever seen.:blackeye: 5 title defenses only 9 championship fights with six victoriess compared to floyd who is 18-0.
pac isn't even top 100 with these stats.
pac has alot of work to do to catch up with floyd
But Floyd is top 15 atg with championship fight wins against top quality opposition like Baldomir, N'dou, Corley, Mitchell and Brusseles??
I love the 2 floyd nutthuggers defending the shit out floyd.
Real talk it doesnt matter who faced who in the past. Y'all know what biggest difference between Mayweather and Pacquiao is???
Floyd compares himself to Sugar Ray Robinson but no credible boxing scribe or historian will put him even top 25 all time great
Pacquiao however is still active but actual credible boxing historians like Bert Sugar and Hall of fame trainers Emmanuel Steward and Angelo Dundee are already making a case for him as already being top 10 greatest ever.
So...."Pacquiao is not even top 50 ATG".....nice try Burner, but no cigar.
Which I never agreed with even though he was an incredible fighter under 147
I really wouldn't go by Dundee.
I would also let the hype die down to make the right decision on where we could place Pac. Like you said; his career isn't over.
Top 10 though; wonder who is in there top 10 and who they are taking out.
How about yours?
What would make Pac a top 10 great?
stop trying to discredit pac's win. IT WAS AN UPSET. you relying on weight to much on your argument. there are several other factors that influenced the outcome of the fight. and the weight has the least to do with it. imo
So even if Freddie says the weight was a big factor it doesn't count?
It would have been interesting to see Pac fight the Oscar that fought Floyd. I wish he had so we wouldn't have to have this conversation. I think it sucks for Pac in way even though at the end of the day, as time passes, I'm not sure anyone is going to care about "reasons" and "facts." They probably don't in the Philippines unless I'm mistaken.
Also remember, the version of Oscar that Floyd fought was not only at much bigger and healthier weight for him {Oscar}, but he had Freddie Roach in his corner. Isn't he like the greatest trainer in the world?

lol these morons saying manny resume by far, manny was knocked out early in his career to two bums, lost a wide UD decision to a past his prime weight drained morals, had a draw with jmm in there first fight, and alot of people think manny lost the rematch, floyd only has one disputed fight in whole career and thats the first castillo fight, when he fought with a bad shoulder and alot of people still think he won a very close SD.
Floyd nuthuggers stop trying to change the subject,, Why isnt or didnt your boy fight top competition for 7+ years? Business decisions? LOL
I'll second that.
Pac has only 1 win against JMM.
Furthermore, if you're going to make a note of Hatton's weight vs. Floyd, then you should also note Oscar's curious weight vs. Pac.
h.
...and Merry Christmas, too! :)
heres one thing i always admired about Floyd though......his best wins (Diego, JLC, Judah) he fought them all at their absolute peak of their careers, in their prime. Diego was a BEAST at 130 and was KOing people left and right, then comes Floyd and puts on a fantastic boxing clinic. he fights JLC at 135 and has a tough fight but wins a controversial decision (with a bad shoulder to top it all off). he comes back and schools him in a rematch. Judah was coming off a loss to Baldomir, but was considered the WW champion, and Floyd destroys him.
Hatton clearly beat Collazo
Mayweather beat Castillo with injured shoulder and best him in the rematch
JMM beat Manny P twice
Morales beat his ass twice
Manny P lost to pinoy bums
True... True... True
Pacman isnt even a top 50 ATG.....
If he beats Hatton and Floyd THEN we can talk.
Why would I want to talk to you? Arrogant ****.

Well atleast Pacman is fighting top competition.. Whens the last time Flloyd done that?? In 99?? What a joke.. He takes the safest fights possible..Coward if you ask me. Taking the easiest fights for the most money. Business decision ******.
Theres no reason on earth why Floyd shouldnt have fought a
Collazo
Cintron
Clottey
Cotto
Margarito
instead he fights Hatton at 147(where Hatton looked terrible)
and a shot Oscar who he barely won a split decision

Mayweather was 150 on the scaled and apparently put on another 3-4 lbs.
Pacquiao was 142 on the scales and got up to 148 lbs.
Didn't hear about that. He weighed 150 for the weigh-in which made him 4 pounds under. Why would he put on weight if he didn't need to?
And why show up at 150 for the weigh-in if you are going to put on 3-4 pounds by fight time which would still have you at weight-limit?
He just walked on the scales as is. There was no unofficial weight given right before the fight from what I remember but it was mentioned later that Oscar had at least put on 10 pounds. The only thing I heard about Floyd was that he may have lost a pound by the time of the fight...which could have meant when he stepped on the scales he drank some water and it was in his system...because he didn't care.
Not sure on everything but if you have anything...post it up...it's all good.
Manny, easily.
No. Floyd has a better resume imo, but it's close. Floyd has fought better names and most importantly, better boxers, in their primes. Corrales and Chico, Hernandez and Chavez, Oscar (not prime but in his natural weight and younger) and Hatton, who has 43-0 and favored by most of you haters as it was proved by the fantastic search button. :boxing:
That said i love em both. Genetic predisposed winners they are. And they already won.
Mayweather and Pacman are the same size both at 16 started at 106. And both at WW weigh the same weight. Both were P4P fighters at the time they fought Oscar
The real question is
If they are the same weight and talent why did Oscar say to Mayweather he can't make 147 and made fight at 154 with a massive weight advantage over Mayweather.
but Against Manny he wanted fight at 147 and would have been penalized for being over weight TRUE officially pacquiao started at 106, but in his interview he says he only weighed 98 pounds and had to put iron bars in his shorts at the weigh ins in order to weigh 106 lbs
