I watched some Ring of Honor earlier on HDNET. If you get that channel and watched wrestling long ago check it out sometime. It's 90% "wrestling" and 10% talking. Much more entertaining than WWE, at least to me, and I don't even care for pro wrestling...
MMA>Boxing
anyday, I am not a fan boy and I watch both and boxing is a washed out sports now, it will die in a decade or two, MARK MY WORDS.
Where as MMA is relatively new much more popular and requires a lot of effort and skills.
Just heard Steve Austin talking about his new movie with Randy...He said all pro athletes should stick to their sport...Austin said his is pro-wrestling, Toney is boxing and Courture is MMA.
He said that you don't see Tiger Woods tring to play basketball.
Last night gives Dana White and Vince McMahon something to smile about but back to my original question.....
As a boxing fan, what do u think of the WWE & UFC?
MMA and Pro Wrestling PPV numbers have been solid this year....I guess that they are an even kell with boxing
But what do yall prefer? MMA or Pro Wrestling?
What's illegitimate about Lesnar?
He's a great athlete and a great wrestler. The fact that he made money in the WWE doesn't say anything about him as a fighter.
sure, he's a great athlete, but he mastered mma in 2 years. no body can master boxing in 2 years.
Ken Shamrock was a WWE wrestler. Does that mean he's not legitimate?
ken didn't jump off the top ropes or hit people w/ chairs or anything like that tho.
Not a fan of pro wrestling (although I liked it when I was very young, Rey Mysterio Jr. was the shit) but I'm as big a fan of MMA as I am a boxing fan.
yeah, but lesnar is the undisputed ufc champ, while valuev is a fringe titlist that no real boxing fan takes seriously.

MIXED Martial Arts, meaning a mix of different diciplines, one of those being wrestling.

Saturday's UFC card brought MMA up in my estimation. Every match was wicked, and the stoppages were proper nasty. The more stand-up there is, the more I enjoy it. If the ground game is hardcore brutal like Lesnar's, I enjoy it. It's when the whole fight is fought on the ground that it becomes a fagfest IMO.
I've always thought St-Pierre is a very cool guy. He represents UFC very well, from the looks of it.
he mastered mma in 1-2 years.
through boxing politics, dodgy decisions, and putting tomato cans in front of him.
brock pretty much cleaned out the HW division.

Lesnar has a great wrestling pedigree. He was runner up in the NCAA championships in 1999 and won it all in 2000. How is that a joke?

Boxing has a 7 footer with no skill as a heavyweight champion.
