Get a boxer whos been training 2 years vs a muay thai whos done 2 year or MMA and boxer looses.
Its pretty simple logic. Picture it this way, if Danny Williams vs Vitali were to happen again, this time Danny can grab, danny would easily win despite Vitali being a much better boxer. Skelton, not the best out there but well known enough, he got owned by an MMA'er. Thats because its much harder to KO someone instantly ala TuavsRuiz whilst 90% of them time, grappler vs striker ends up on ground almost immediately, soon as its on ground its over.
Ali vs Inoniki was a draw. Ali = greatest boxer, Inoniki was an old overweight wrestler, undeveloped in MMA way. Now Imagine Inoniki had decent enough striking defense so that he oculd block a few punches or walk through 1-2 and then grab ali. Also these days an MMA'er would simply charge down to the leg and get a takedown, over.
In the streets vs normal people, id take PBF to beat up 5 people. Id have a hard time picking a grappler over 3, you cant do much when your on the ground grappling someone whilst being kicked in the head.
BTW Im a boxer, recently sparred some muay thai guys, they whooped my ass. I could outbox any of them but when legs are involved you just get lost in what naturally comes to you.
you should link directly to the article to give them some credit since that name is I guess banned from being posted on here
im not sure mate, i tried to put a link from it's original website ******** boxing, but the web adress was changed to www.*********.com.

What is the point of this thread? Lacy was the one who manned up and left his own country. Sure, he got beat. Badly. But hey, he was willing to go across the pond and seek to fight the best. There are very few fighters who are willing to do that. Why all the hate on Lacy? Because a few people on this forum hate british fighters? Lame.
people dont hate Lacy, they just hate his delusional fans like Bloodshed
How do you put calzaghe top 3 for beating an untested fighter? Lacy is untested, he hasnt beaten anyone, he had no boxing skills and was overrated. I said before the fight that Lacy gets outboxed, he was getting outboxed by pemberton b4 KO ffs. Lets see who's in tops 3:
Mayweather - No comment.
Wright - The guy just shutout trinidad, beat mosley and soliman. 2 were highly regarded PROVEN and p4p fighters.
Pac - You rate Calzaghe's win over lacy so high cos he dismantled him, well Pac anihilated Barrera and finished it off with a TKO. Barrera = proven fighter and legend, he recently KO'd Morales, drew with Marquez and the guy started at 106, p4p that has to be taken into account.
Who did Jones beat at supermiddle weight?
James Toney and 5 other no hopers who weren't even ranked in the top 10.
He didnt accomplish much at supermiddle weight at all...apart from beating James Toney.
That dosen't make you the greatest supermiddle weight ever
too fat and too slow, he couldn't hurt ali anyways.
But he has the style to beat him, if you made Ali go forward he wan't great....but Ali would make a fool outta him like Michael Nunn and Roy Jones.
ya know i like u juy juy. but once eubanks, watson,or ne legend uk boxers is mentioned your there like that. its sorta like fish bate. or like callin candy man three times. its jus funny thats all :D
thought i'd mention that you're physique's improved quiet abit.
More mass and you haven't put any bodyfat on, good traps btw. ;)
Lewis was interviewed on Jonathan Ross show recently. They didnt show a clip of him beating the RealDeal, they showed him knocking out Tyson which means...it really does add to his legacy. Tyson may have been stopped by Williams recently but he was the 1st to end the hype since Tyson started coming on the comeback trail again.
i think Tyson could outboxed ali if he chose too...
there we go, that statement will create another 100 pages worth of discussion of whether or not its true.
Deadliest has to be pac. He's won his last 20 fights by KO, fights that he won that is as its a bit hard to score a KO when you just lost. Some make the whole marquez thing as bad finishing but I see it as the opposite. How do you finish off an opponent when he's hurt? You try to KD him again and hope he stays down, Pacman managed to do it 2 more times after the first...its just so happens JMM managed to get up. Watch his finish against hector velazquez, he goes absolutely insane once he catches him with the right hook and sees him back away.
I think him getting involved in politics is great. He sees the problem and is trying to help remove it. Ali was involved in politics alot, it made him a hero and I dont think it affected his boxing too much(apart from when he refused war).
The fight was close enough for a rematch. Both are PPV material(it did better than Barrera vs Morales) and both are top of their game. A rematch has to be in order otherwise there will always be questions and disputes. You just need to go round the forums to see that not everyone shares the same opinion. A rematch will answer alot of questions, such as headbutt, gloves and perhaps a new pacman.
Brown bomber, cuts caused by punch ok, cuts caused by headbutt...Unless Morales plans to headbutt him again, hes not gonna be blind on one eye again therefore things like these has to be taken into factor on the outcome of a rematch without these things. Not saying Pac will win, just that he deserves a rematch.
Floyd is, in Ali's words "Too fast, too pretty, and can't possibly be beaten!". lol, I hope Gatti beats him but I dont see how. Oh well, we'll see soon enough.
lol, you forgot "he had a bad night". People are willing to accept he had a bad night but not accept not being able to see on one eye has effect on a fighter? If Morales caused that cut by a punch fair enough, but he didnt. Lightning doesnt strike twice, or does it..?
I watched the fight, wasnt all that to me. I dont know, Ali leaning on the rope and Joe pounding away whilst Ali does flurries now and again just doesnt cut it. Its a great fight for a HW but I've seen lighterweights demonstrate much more.
How would freddie roach know who hits harder between wald and tyson when he never was hit by either wald or tyson ? .
He can feel it when they hit the mitts. Also I think a coach would know who hits harder out of his students. As for never being hit by Tyson, he said he has...everything went dark :D
I a fighter saying one fighter hits harder over another has more truth than saying he can beat someone. Williams would boost his ego in saying he can beat someone but he has nothing to gain ins aying Tyson hit harder than vitali.
Just for the record if someone hasnt mentioned already. Freddie Roach said punch for punch W.klitschko hits harder than Tyson, Tyson is more explosive.
