porter is legit, i've seen him fight in the gloves a few times (we were in the same weight class) and i saw him totally outclass shawn estrada (the US mw olympian), the score was like 17 to 6 or something like that, porter has mad skillz for his age
of course, its at a bar! anybody can understand whats goin on in mma, it takes a lil higher intelect to understand boxing, your compairing jazz to heavy metal, both are good music, but you have to actually know a lil something about music to enjoy jazz.
dlh has been shot ever since he found out he could make more $ promoting instead of gettin hit in the head, smart if you ask me but still fighting when your heart isnt 100% into it is just plain stupid. :sad:

this guy must have been punched in the head to many times. floyd is far from done, his p4p crown is there waiting for him to come pick it back up as soon as he wants. floyd stays in the gym, he pretty much lives in it, he always stays sharp and in good shape, maybe not fighting sharp or fighting shape but nothing a camp cant do. if he comes back im sure you will be eating your words :chairshot
i totally agree, there is no way you can stay on top forever, no way. there is always an end and in boxing the end is never pretty, its the hurt business and when you arent the fighter you used to be thats what happens, the business catches up to you and well, you get hurt. you cant take anything away from what dlh has done in his career. even though all his big wins were against faded past their prime fighters and all his loses were to fighters in there prime. i always felt dlh was a b+ or maybe a- fighter, but what he did for the sport will always be remembered, the man can sell fights and when he was in his prime he put on one hell of a show, win or lose (and some of those wins i feel he lost, sweet pea, ike, melina, sturm) much respect for dlh even though i never really liked him as a fighter. :chairshot

And then when your new trainer asks you to stop drinking and get more disciplined for the remainer of your career, you refuse because that's who you are.

i can tell you why hes not. 1 ali and leonard fought everybody 2 floyd retired to early 3 leonard and ali were great ambasators of the sport 4 more people liked ali and leonard then hated them 5 the level of comp that leonard and ali fought would all be champs this day in age, and 6 if ali was a ww he would beat floyd, and leonard would destroy him. i like floyd but he is far from the ali leonard level, skillwise hes there, but intangables like balls and grit he isnt even close, not to say he could never be there but the posibility is lookin pretty dim at this point:You_Rock_

i gotta say sr, roger is a great trainer but he can only work with one style of fighter were as sr can work with any style, for example: ricky looked much better than he has in the past, still holds to much but thats his style, he was working behind his jab alot better and seemed alot more patient, plus i didnt see him try one shoulder roll lol if you are not a slick boxer roger wouldnt even consider training you were as sr will work with anything that has potential:You_Rock_
