Floyd's younger brother 19yold up and coming fighter

he didnt grow up a mayweather though. he didnt know who his father was until one or two years ago when his mother told him it was floyd sr which was later confirmed by a DNA test. he changed his name from jones to mayweather recently when he moved to vegas to connect with his father and that side of his family. he wasnt a rich kid in any way, quite the contrary from what i heard. as far as his ability goes he is very fresh in the boxing game, the fact that he is already that good is a testament to the natural boxing talent coursing through his veins. with some more time in the sport he may become a good fighter, only time will tell. i think its pathetic how so many of you are just brushing him aside without knowing anything about the kid simply due to his last name. Seeing the trend on how Floyd thinks, maybe he feels that Justin changed his surname to Mayweather to try and seek out $$$. It could genuinely be to try and connect with his father, but I imagine if the Mayweather's weren't popular would he have changed his name? I mean if I find out my dad isn't my biological father, and find my real father, I highly doubt I would change my surname to my biological father's surname. Unless of course I had the mind of a gold digger and my bio-father and rest of family are 'wealthy' and I wanted some. On the other hand, he could use his new Mayweather surname and Mayweather blood as a way to create his own path in boxing and milk his family name as much as possible. He'll surely get the spotlight with that name, all he'll need to do is be a good fighter.

Messed up, you never see Justin Mayweather around him at all. I don't get along with my brother and the day I become successful wouldn't change that either. Ok well that explains a lot then, the TS said he was 19 but he is 27 with one pro fight so odds are against him going too far in the game. But props to him giving it a try

He definitely isn't 19 years old, we already saw a video of him like 4/5 years old when he was around that age. He must be like 25 now or almost.

I don't know what you guys are talking about.. He looked decent in there.. Not sure who his sparring partner was, but they looked evenly matched for sparring and that was good work.. Reading some of the comments, I highly doubt some of you have ever sparred or even been in a gym.. Justin looked like a decent amateur fighter with a pro style.. Nothing wrong with that. From what I saw, he needs to improve his ring generalship and use his movement more Sparred?? these guys never fought period..you can tell by the bullsh1t they post..they don't even own a pair of gloves and can not name you one gym in their own damn city....don't even know what a 4-5 is......

After watching this I think it is safe to say that Floyd's (false) legacy is safe... Like I said befo, Baby bro ain't gonna make paper boxing fo sho.

Yeah, you can tell the guy that said otherwise has never been to a boxing gym. New guys don't look anywhere near the level of these guys. They usually look like a couple of drunks trying to duke it out. i've been boxing for 9 yrs, and yes, the average person is retarded with little to no control or understanding of their own body but like i said this guy looks to have some talent/athleticism, guys like that look exactly or better than what he did against a much smaller opponent in their first time(considering they aren't completely overwhelmed by the pressure of the situation) i looked alot better than this guy in my first sparring session, and if he has been training for long then i guess i overestimated his talent, because he's never going to achieve anything and is god awful not everyone that starts looks like a retard and doesn't know how to throw a punch, some guys actually know the mechanics of thier body and know how to get leverage etc, should you remove the fear/pressure aspect you can see the natural skills in the ring

He has the ring movement of a 2 year am fighter .. And at times his shoulder roll and defense looked suspect for a mayweather I dont expect him to look like floyd, all i said was he looked like a decent open amateur fighter thats probably slightly over .500 with his record.. I was responding to the guys earlier in the thread that was just thrashing him.. No one is claiming he is any good as a pro or that he is some type of blue chip prospect.. But to degrade his skills and act like he has no clue what he was doing in sparring, is just not fair or accurate..

This guy is 27 years old and has one professional fight. Yes... He's Justin Mayweather Jones... (A DNA test showed that Floyd Mayweather Sr is his father, this makes Jones a younger (paternal) brother of Floyd Mayweather Jr.)... :) He has on KO win at jr. middleweight, last year...

This guy is 27 years old and has one professional fight. that makes a lot more sense. it would be a bit strange for floyd to be 17 years older than his brother.

i didn't even know floyd had a younger brother. he does not look supremely talented by any stretch.
