People Don't Realise How Dangerous Pro Boxers Are. Mikey Garcia KO's 220lb Hater

I've decided to bump this thread mainly due to seeing the **** people have been giving Paulie about the whole McGregor saga and particularly at those calling him feather fisted and claiming they would KO him :lol1: to end this once and for all, even a dude like Paulie has 3 one shot KO's against PROFESSIONAL boxers. Boxers spend their whole lives perfecting the punch, put some respeck on these fighters :boxing:

I remember reading Rios was dropped at a barbecue, and Hatton was one punch KO'd in a bar fight. I don't doubt they'd destroy those same people in the ring but a brawl outside the ring is a different ballgame. Boxers would be better equipped than most, but not infallible either. Boxers have the advantage but street fighting is anything goes.

why doesn't floyd just employ a bunch of flyweight boxers as his security, then? floyd would whoop those guys in a boxing match, or any kind of fight in an open area, but if they were in an elevator and they wanted to strangle him to death i think you'd be surprised about the nature of the struggle, and to find that floyd would be in a legit fight for his life. nature is nature. floyd's not lifting that guy off of him if he gets on the ground. he's not going to get be able to get dude's hands off of his throat once they get there. he's just not strong enough. i saw that giant fat guy in vegas once. he as as wide as a slot machine. really. he's easily, and i mean easily, 400 lbs. floyd's not going to push 400 lbs off of his chest if he's on the ground, backed into a corner, wrapped up in a bear hug, etc. he's going to have to ask for permission to breath. and that's what size does. these guys aren't "just big" they're "big enough" that floyd or maidana wouldn't be able to break out of the bear hug, or get off of the ground if they're down there and they've got a guy that big on top of them. the ref doesn't come out of the woodwork and break you in real life. if you're strong enough, and you've got a firm grip, you can literally squeeze somebody until they stop moving or you feel a pop :lol1:. i get that some of you don't understand that, but you can't lift 400 lbs, a single inch off of the ground, either. cool. i was talking about a regular guy facing a professional boxer who competes at elite level. if chino punches that guy in the fat bare knuckle that's it, he isn't gonna recover. that's pure fat. plus, have you seen that all access episode where floyd puts one of his body guards in the ring vs a smaller guy and gets KO'd? is hilarious

Blanket statements. Everywhere. Obviously, someone who devotes more time and effort to their craft will have the advantage. This is kind of similar to the Jack of all Trades, but Master of None arguement. The Jack has a very slim chance against the Master of One. Practice, practice, practice. Challenge yourself. Maybe, but the point is people talk tough not realizing these smaller pro fighters are dangerous even if you have a big size advantage, how do you think you'd make out against Mikey? He'd slap the **** out of me, which is why I wouldn't talk **** to his face. But that other dude is a ****ing chump, he doesn't even know the basics of boxing, anybody half talented with at least a few weeks of training could knock his ass out so this isn't exactly impressive. Which is not a knock on Mikey either. If he wanted to he could have knocked him out with 1 punch within 5 seconds. He's just toying with him. Size doesn't matter by the way if you can't fight. You can put a 130 pound guy in there against a 450 pound dude if the fat guy doesn't know how to punch or take a punch and the smaller guy is an experienced boxer. He's gonna knock his ass out.

Mickey is fighting at 140 now? Geez he hasn't fought in sometime..seems like lightweight would fit him better..wonder how his power will be against bigger fighters.. At 140 he can beat Ricky Burns, now the other champions he will have a hard time with

You see Kovalev and GGG sparring heavies and we still get the picture of how beastly they in fact are in comparison to even other pros.

Doesn't matter how small they are, even featherweight boxers can do some serious damage: I find it funny how people think they can defeat boxers who fight for a living due to their size, "athletic ability" and their so called "experience". I had some boxing training and always had good luck against the bigger dudes

he fought a guy who was overweight, slow, had never boxed before and had gray hairs on his beard.
