He should have taken a knee. He was def going to go down because if he was that tired to get that hurt by a puncher like Ward then that tells you how tired he really was.
It a crap fight. Crawford is still on the come up and he is not ready to fight a guy like Manny. Crawford is still in his development stages in boxing.
They both are pretty bad but for right now I will say Haymon. Bob Arum is very very close though. This dude is probably a bigger scumbag if you combine all the bs he has been doing for many years.
Mayweather clearly won 7 rounds to me. Maidana clearly won 4 rounds to me and MAYBE edged a 5th round. This is why I scored it 7-5 for Mayweather. It was a Clear win but close fight. I bet you anything if they have a rematch, Floyd will be using his legs a lot more and he will keep the fight in the middle of the ring. That is one thing I noticed in this fight is that he actually stayed on the ropes even when he didn't need to. Usually he is running around the ring and picking his spots. He did it quite less in this fight and it almost cost him.
Mike is not going to win this. He isn't going to outbox Marquez and he def isn't going to out fight Marquez. Marquez is just flat out a better fighter even at the age he is at.
No he isn't #1 but don't let this poll fool you. What is going on here on this forum is typical fanboy vs hater/fanboy=hater vs fanboy=hater. Yes Floyd is the number 1 draw in boxing right now. It just is the way it is. He better not fight Khan next, that's all I gotta say.
It doesn't matter anyway. Stevenson isn't that good and he was smart to escape Kovalev. Now chances are he is going to lose the Hopkins and I hope he does lose to Hopkins.
Wow... Its really hard not to root for Martinez in this fight. They rob him like that? Really? 1.5 million to Cotto's 7 million? Martinez is going to take that disrespect out on Cotto for sure.
As much as I would love to see Mayweather fight both of these guys. He probably isn't unless they become big enough stars in the sport. Mayweather is in a contract with Showtime so his PPV has to sell or he wont be getting those big ass guarantees he has been getting, so on and so forth. I say f*ck it and he should fight Porter next after Porter beats Kell Brooks.
Mosley fought a lot of fighters like Margarito in the sense that Magarito has that typical come forward and throw a lot of punches kind of style. Mosley always threw first and clinched when the timing was right. He also packed a lot of speed and power and he was hitting Margarito with damn near everything he threw at him.
This really depends on US currency compared to ARG currency. If they pay Maidana something like 5 million US dollars then in his country that money can turn into damn near 20 million depending how valuable the US dollar is in his country. Maidana isn't a US citizen so they figured they can cut corners by giving Maidana money in US dollars so in return he would get a major profit back in country. Maidana probably turned that 1.5 million into something close to 8 million give or take. People forget that Maidana does not live in the US so the currency is different. He is most likely being payed in US dollars so he would see far more money in his own country. Its also a cheap way to pay Maidana so they can cut corners.
Schaefer has been going a good job with GB from outside so far from what I can tell. People seem to forget that it was this guy who went to Arum to try and makes happen with both stables. Remember Lucas Matthysse was suppose to fight Brandon Rios a few years back but TR declined? Remember when Mares and Nonito was suppose to fight but TR declined? I am pretty sure there are more fights I am missing but lets not pretend that he wasn't trying to make fights happen with TR and the bs Cold War. Arum is really the one who started it. He was constantly talking sh-t about GB even when they wanted to do business with them.
