So far this year, yes. Floyd sold 500k, (350K generated by cinco de mayo and the most expensive undercard in history) Floyd + cinco de mayo + stacked undercard > manny, but when you isolate each factor, then manny alone outsells floyd. ya has nothing do with mayweather if they put another fighter in his spot it would do just as good :poke:

I've always found it really amusing that people will so arbitrarily add or subtract PPV numbers from Floyd fights, yet the idea of the same coefficients being applied to Manny is unfathomable heresy. This is not true. Floyd fought Ricky Hatton in December of 2007 and outsold Manny when he fought Hatton. Against all their mutual opponents Floyd has outsold Manny. Manny has NEVER done 2 million buys no matter who he fought while Floyd has done so twice.The only exception is Marquez and the buys for his third fight with Pacquiao were high because of their history.

This is kind of sad. Now people want to make reality conform to their dreams. It is widely known and accepted that Floyd is the sports biggest draw, even if he does not stack his undercards, he will still be the bigger draw. This is getting just pathetic. The is a diference..when oscar fought mayweather he was still that ticket selling machine,if you think it was mayweather I will disagree with you,anyways..one year later oscar fights forbes(unknown to any casual fan) and almost 2 years later than mayweather he fought pacquiao,when oscar was on the decline..And I know it doesnt matter and we can all agree oscar was a zombie on pac fight,but mayweather fight was very close whereas pac made him quit..anyways,I think your comparison fails a little bit here.
