Linares is up there with the BEST when talking about beautiful combos but Maquez walks amongst them too!

JMM had me at making that other boxer throw up during a fight! LOL. Dude is the goods man. If you pay attention you can see him setting up punches that are still three punches away. Meaning, he will throw a hook to set up a straight right two punches later. One of my favorite fighters all time. :boxing::boxing:

The first half of the fight was boring. The fight didn't get going until they started exchanging knockdowns later on. Not FOTY.

The fight didn't suck but I agree that it was foolish to call this a FOTY candidate because Marquez pretty much dominated the fight besides for one or two rounds.

I'll have to watch a few of his fights. To be honest I don't really know enough about his fighting style and abilities. Nacho has definitely made his mark on the sport though. And they said last night he has about 10 young up and coming fighters that will be bursting onto the scene in the next few years. I can't wait to see what he has in store. Watch his fights with Paul Banke, they are some of the best fights I've ever seen.

Daniel Zaragosa might be another one to take a look at, was his fighting style similar? Yes, fairly similar style, naturally, except he was a southpaw. Very good counter puncher and tough as hell but he lacked the punching power of Finito and Juan Manuel Marquez. Very good fighter but a notch below those two. JMM's bro, Rafael, is another awesome fighter that came under Nacho's tutelage.

Ricardo Lopez throws combinations very similar to Marquez. Which you would expect since both were trained by Nacho.
