That is only 5 traines. I believe Oscar is the king in that department.
I don't know how many Oscar's had, but Chad Dawson's had 10.
Canelo will do much better.
Chavez jr. is a touch son of a *****, but he needs to get inside to be effective. Canelo spent the entire Trout fight on the inside and won - something which I thought was impossible for him to do before the fight.
Nevertheless, I still think he will do better fighting Floyd at close to mid range.
I think even the fighters who ended up dying in the ring weren't willing to do so. If you told them halfway through the fight that they were going to die if they kept on fighting they would have stopped.
The only exception I'm aware of is Duk Koo Kim, as can be seen by what he wrote before the fight.
Vitali was buzzed quite badly against Corrie Sanders.
He got knocked out by Pele Reid in kickboxing.
On 2 occasions, Lennox was knocked out by a single punch.
Wlad definitely has the power and speed McCall and Rahman had, so we know he could knock out Lewis with a single punch. Also, Vitali was on his way to winning a decision before their fight was stopped on cuts (granted, Lewis was 37, so I'm not saying Vitali would beat a prime Lewis, but he would make it competitive).
I'm not claiming either Klitschko would beat Lewis, but it is anything but an open-shut case.
As for the dickhead OP and his question, no, Lewis could not KO both in 12 rounds, but if Lewis fought McCall and Rahman back-to-back he might be knocked out twice in 7 rounds (KO 2 & KO 5).
I understand what you are saying, but I don't know if this was a cold calculating plan simply to make money at the expense of legacy. I think Floyd has a real paranoid streak and he doesn't want to give those who dislike him the satisfaction of seeing him lose.
Technically, I think Floyd was right to retire rather than face Williams. I believe the biggest reach advantage anyone has had on Floyd is 1". Williams would have had a 7" reach advantage and a 7" height advantage. It's no good turning your shoulder up at someone who has the arm length to go around it. Floyd probably thought he could beat Martinez, Pacquiao, and Margarito but knew they were capable of upsets so avoided them.
If you grow up boxing you can develop a chin.
No, you don't. In fact, science contradicts what you say. Once you have a concussion you are more likely to suffer another.
Khan has been boxing since 11. Prescott rocked Khan with a jab after Khan had been "developing" his chin for 11 years. Rahman started boxing at 20. He only got knocked out, controversially, in his 30th fight and that was against Tua. The huge-hitting Tua couldn't even knock Rahman off his feet, even though Rahman had only been "developing" his chin for 6 years.
In short, the OP is 100% correct and you're 100% wrong.
I think Danny Garcia has a GREAT chance at winning this fight. The great thing about Garcia is that he punches WITH his opponents.
Good point.
There is always a danger with a guy like that.
How about more than 3 judges?
This is the best idea. In diving, figure skating, gymnastics, and probably a fair few other sports there are more than 5 judges. The more judges the less likely a crappy decision.
People do care even if they say they don't. If a fighter attended a Klan rally do you think he would have many black fans thereafter? Would a muslim fighter who said America deserves to perish have many American fans?
With there being rape, animal abuse, wife-beating, murder, drug-taking, pedophilia, reckless driving, and so on, there is something out there to alienate everyone.
The worst thing about them is they hurt fighters careers. In the commentary to the Campillo-Cloud fight where Campillo was robbed, Al Bernstein talked about 2 fights before where Campillo was on the end of some questionable decisions. I haven't seen the other 2 fights, but if Campillo should have 3 wins where he has 2 losses and a draw, that is pretty damned bad for his career, especially considering he is 34 now.
Well, he has put together 1 win in a row. If that doesn't entitle you to a title shot, I don't know what does.
But the real game is in the ring and by this time next year I want to be recognised as the undisputed number one in the heavyweight division.
That's not going to happen. He never was the best heavyweight and he never will be.
I guess by 'dreading' you mean 'grieving'. Regardless, I couldn't disagree more with your post. We don't have to thank the fighters for giving us entertainment; the millions of dollars we put in their bank accounts are thanks enough.
Mayweather and Pacquiao were jostling for the p4p number 1 ranking for a few years. They had more than enough time to make that fight happen. Imagine if the next p4p no.1 holds that position for 7 or 8 years and is a cruiserweight, but all the p4p no.2s that come and go are in the lower divisions. We may not get to see a showoff between the 2 best p4p fighters in the world for a decade or maybe longer.
There is nothing to celebrate here.
