Who have you noticed in the crowd when a fight has been shown on TV or at the event itself? People who you wouldn't think would be into boxing.
for the brits out there; I keep seeing Gordon Ramsey, he is always getting right into it lol
Mitt Romney sat through the entire Pacquiao-Marquez IV card and was about 7 feet away from Pacquiao being knocked out and had the best seat in the house to see the knockout.
^ beat me to it
pretty much met the entire cast of The Wire at cotto / mosley
damn thats tight good fight to see live and the cast to one of my fav shows. pretty sure hbo gives tickets out to actors from their shows as gifts or something maybe to have famous faces ringside too
Pretty certain that Jack Nicholson was at Ortiz-Lopez last summer.
As you can see, I'm a little cynical.
NOOOOOOOOO,really? I'd have never guessed.
It's pretty common knowledge that Murray is a boxing fan.
Boxing has always been classy and has always brought out the celebs. I was a bit surprised to see Andy Murray at the Haye-Chisora fight, so was my mates.
kinda on the opposite note has anyone noticed Jack Nickolson hasnt been at the fights lately? Hes a huge fan and used to be in the ringside seats all the time at fights ive been wondering what happened to him
there were a ton at mayweather-baldomir. showed them all leaving during the fight.
I remember that particular fight rather well. I think that it was then that Larry Merchant siad that Mayweather is the only top fighter who always fights to half full arenas and then has people walking out diring his fights. He was commenting on the camera showing them walking out. I think he also said he said he just couldn't understand it. I believe I must also have a tape of it somewhere, because i used to tape all the fights.
I saw Andy Murray at the David Haye-Dereck Chisora fight, he was out in the crowd watching all the crappy undercard fights from beginning to end, must be a real boxing fan
It is good PR for him to be seen at a public event, especially as "just one of the fans'..... Probably arranged by his agent. Very few of these "celebrities" do anything without either being paid, or for some other benefit to them, like a charity appearance (for which they may well be paid, undercover). Their time is exclusively taken up with promoting themselves. When they retire, they do the "retired celebrities" publicity circuits, and when it dies down and they can't resusicate it, they begin to lead more normal lives. Many can't, particularly in the combat sports. Too much testosterone I suppose.
As you can see, I'm a little cynical.
Justin Beiber at Mayweather last fight :O I mean god damn
This was the funniest unexpected celebrity at a fight to me... I lost it when I saw him walkin in with mayweather
Apparently tyson was teachin him a few things too
