Just a quick hypothetical to throw out there.. Since Lewis beat Vitali in 6 rounds, if prime Lewis fought prime Wladimir does he beat Wladimir also within 6 rounds - which means he would have beaten both Klitschko brothers within a total of 12 rounds - or would it take Lewis more than 6 rounds to beat a prime Wlad?
I reckon he is, Lewis' power is a tad bit overrated
lewis' power is not overrated,,,
he stopped bruno with basically one big punch,,
he stopped bowe in the olympics
he stopped ruddock in under 4 mins, and tyson couldnt do that the year before with 2 chances
he was the first to stop golata and did it in 1 min
stopped grant in about 5 mins
stopped morrison
stopped tyson
made akinwande a scared little girl
one punch brutal ko of rahman
only guys to last vs lewis were ironmen like holyfield and mercer, mccall, tua.....
lewis had legit power,, he just boxed more than going for the kill, but lewis had tremendous power
a fat, old, out of shape lewis already stopped a prime vitali..
a prime lewis would ko wlad in the middle rounds
so yes i think a prime lewis would beat both inside the distance
Lennox inside 6 against Wlad.
He already beat iron chinned Vitali in 6 rounds. And Lennox was old.
Can't see Wlad lasting in there considering Vitali has an iron chin and was badly hurt on a few occasions, eventually stopped due to his face being rearranged.
Seriously Lennox has been tested with the best of them and beat them. Wlad hasn't fought anywhere near the opposition of Lennox. I can't see for a minute Wlad being able to stay away for 12 rounds. Lennox has the better boxing ability and game. He can do it all.. Wlad on the other-hand is a one trick pony. He would not be able to use his hold tactics because Lennox would match him and his inside game would eat Wlad up. He fights to scared and his tactics simply wouldn't work against a heavyweight as good as Lennox.
Lewis is better than Wlad in almost every department. KO inside 4.
Leaning all over Lewis isn't an option either as he's of equal size and strength. Try constantly leaning on Lewis and you'll taste that vicious uppercut, one like Vitali felt....which would send Wlad to another planet.
ive never seen wlad clinch anyone excessively his height and size. he only seems to do it to shorter heavyweights that fight exclusively on the inside. I think hed be forced to let his hands go if he fought lewis and it wouldnt be good for a 48 yr old whos been inactive for 10 yrs. anyone who thinks lewis beats wlad at this point is just delusional

Wlad is bigger, stronger and faster. But Lewis win's this easy. Lennox is a natural fighter. In terms of applying overall skill Lennox is better and can set up shots much better. Wlad would honestly piss his pants at the sight of Lewis, I doubt he would have the guts to even fire a punch besides the jab.
This I can agree with whereas I can't see Lewis beaing Vitali other than on cuts.
Vitali probably wouldn't have much chance at all against a prime Lewis, we saw what an old out of shape Lewis did to him.
Lennox might even beat both the Klits inside of 12 on the same night. Completely different class of fighter than the chump tomato cans the Klits have been feasting on the past 10 years.
Poet
Exactly.
This unfortunately lost on most geniuses on here. Beating the likes of Wach, Pianeta, Sodnowski, Briggs. I mean surely they could compete with a prime Lennox having beat those guys in such extraordinary fashion!
even steward said lewis should have given vit the rematch. lewis knew a rematch would be another hard tough fight and he didnt wanna risk his legacy. I lost alot of respect for lewis for that
I think lewis at his best beats the klits. A fighter has the right to retire at any time he view's is best for personal reasons but I personally would have like to see him fight the rematch.
Try Google.
Lewis had enough money in the bank to retire and live his life 10 times over. No point in fighting again if you aren't really up for it. His career won't be defined by the Vitali fight but Vitali's career is defined by losing to Lewis.

Lennox/Wlad would be like Lennox/Golota.
comparing wlad to golota is a joke and I doubt wlad would have taken an injection in his knee and come in as dry as a desert right before the fight. I think wlad/lennox is a 50/50 fight. whoever lands the first right hand puts the other to sleep
Well yes it's one of his best....... :biggthump I meant it does nothing to raise his profile in history.
All good wins raise your profile and add to your resume and judgement from fans and peers.
Sanders was a part time fighter that only got the fight as a late replacement because Wlad's opponent pulled out, he wasn't relevant on the HW scene at the time. It was a terrible loss for Wlad and a nothing win for Vitali. Sanders, bane of the Ks but a non entity for other boxing champs. love it, sums up the Ks.
by claiming its a good vitali win, one is in fact saying that vitali is so crap that beating such an old fatboy is a personally very high achievement - which I don't agree with, personally I think vits is a decent scrapper and not a crap fighter. but if klitlickers inadvertently want to make vitali look bad, let them.

No, it was a very good win for Vitali.
