Very simple question. Why was NOBODY concerned before about OST until Floyd decided this was a deal breaker to fight Pac? No one was worried about it. No one was saying a word.
If Floyd wants this fight he can follow the same rules as everybody else. If he can't accept those rules, like he always did before, he doesn't really want to fight.
A lot of people seem to want to blame Pac. Where were all you people, and why weren't you worried before?
Actually, there was a worry before. Its like this, when a fighter lacks star power their voice usually has little to no clout. Floyd is now popular enough that his voice gets heard.
With us being at the end of the information trail, don't you think guys on the inside get wind of different info than we get? Think about that for a while. Not only that, but ost is expensive. How much do you think this is all costing? You got 2 guys waiting around for hours to get a sample. This line of testing is costing in the thousands of dollars. Think about that for a while as well.
Regarding Pacquiao negotiations, they agreed to the tests before they sat at the table. 10 million per/lb has never ever been done before in the sport at all. At least ost has actually been done before, am's or not.
Pacfans will be turning on their own in no time. I've seen this happen before. They will reject the idea at first and fight the good fight. After a while and as they get slammed with information some will break and those that have broke will bring others with them. After a while they will have bitten deep into that hand that feed's them.
Caballero is really feather fisted and Lampley and Merchant went a bit nutty with the Leavander Johnson references. Johnson had been ko'd a bunch of x and Yordan was undefeated. Let the guy finish on his feet. An undefeated fighter deserves to right to finish on his feet. Anything can happen, 1 punch can turn the tide and Yordan could have done it if he was a bit ore busier. Good 12th round from Yordan.
Now they bring him back out for the 11th. Terrible.
I usually agree with what you say, but have to disagree here. Those punches had nothing on them, Yordan should be bubbled up and wasn't. Leavander was stopped many times, they went over the top bringing that up. Yordan was fine and deserved the chance to finish on his feet. One punch can change a fight and if he was a bit more busier we wold have seen a better result from Yordan. Good 12th round from Cino.
He needs to move his head more and shift those elbows when a guy is throwing a ton of uppercuts. A few adjustments thats all.
in this portion of his career?
Mosley 38
JMM 36
Hatton 29
DLH 34
Baldomir 35
He can't keep up with the younger dudes or what?
1) Mosley is a phenom.
2) JMM wasn't old and past his prime when he went up classes and knocked Diaz out who had never been knocked out before out now was he?
3) Hatton looked kinda prime when he was dicing up Castillo and Urango up right before.
4) Nobody was saying Hoya was shot when he stopped Mayorga in 6 the fight before...and add to that Mayorga has never been stopped.
5) Baldomir...dude fought his way to the big show.
:owned:
This is for him to clean up his image to make more money after he saw Manny doing it, he only did not try to persue the good guy image from the get go because he is too ignorant/arrogant to suppress his natural tendencies.
Mayweather dont care about anyone else but himself that should be abundantly clear by now.
Bottom line is bums are getting a full belly and kids are getting gifts that normally wouldn't be. Christ, what does he have to do to get a break? Answer this, what would Floyd have to do in your opinion that would change your belief? Surely there must be something?
the guy hasnt dun anything that good in the last couple of years.he should get at the back of the line and earn a chance to fight for the wba belt....
Because Arum says so thats why.
freddie roach said in a previous interview on espn friday night fights that duran would beat manny. this is all talk and nothing more.
HA! Thats the interview I saw! I think he's finally losing it upstairs.
explain how going backwards, getting outlanded, and getting hit by a big majority of the clean punches deserves a win but going forward, getting outlanded, and getting hit by most of the clean punches mean the guy got outboxed?
Compubox was missing a lot of punches that landed from Devon. Also, Devon landed more power punches according to cbox.
People here got too high of expectations from Alexander pre-fight. I read many people saying if he didn't knock Kotelnik out that he'd have no validity with Khan. Kotelnik is a tough fighter and despite Alexander talking of multple game plans he only executed one. He won but not in stellar fashion. I had Devon winning by 2-4 rounds. I think too many posters get influenced by commentators and lack focus in scoring a fight.
King is using recently failed negotiations to promote himself getting in with Floyd. King can't make this fight happen. How is King going to get Manny to take the random tests?
Holt's just got heavy hands. That last Torres fight he won by headbutt-hook combo.
Mabuza just knocked that fool out. Bum chin, no heart, and poor desire out weigh what skill and heavy handedness he does have.
First time I saw he he was getting knocked out by an old bum in Chicago. B-level.
Did you even read my post? He was dangerously weight drained in that fight. Imagine Kermit Cintron or Alfredo Angulo trying to cut down to 140. Mabuza would knock them out in that scenario too. That's how much he struggles to make weight. He was supposed to return at 147 on Ward-Green's undercard but he couldn't even make 147.
Thats his own fault. Lazy, no heart and it shows in the ring. I'm sick of so-call professionals saying their having hard times making weight in the class they fought their entire career in.
Where do you get Angulo from? He's always fought at jr mid. The vast majority of Holt's career has been at 140. Only a lazy fighter would have problems with staying at their native weight.
know something. i saw this program of this mother who lost her son to a murder. she said the only time she started healing is when she forgave him. forgiving isnt saying what they did was ok or anything.
once we learn how to forigve we learn to heal. ppl gotta remember he had psycological problems. and no im not fkn saying what he did was ok.
My dude, Valero wasn't our son. No excuses. That punk midget lived his life in reckless fashion, even the way he fought was with reckless abandon. Got into heavy drugs and thought he was untouchable. If you saw the pics of her dead body all stabbed up you might not be so church lady about it. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Those pics of his dead naked body kind of clowned his memory. Props to jailor who posted them.
Having no power would hurt him big time. He would beat Abregu for sure though.
But against Top level guys he gets raped.
No way, Abregu will make him look like a can of ragu. Bet on it.
