Now Khan/Alexander Fans are saying he sucks? lol the guy beats an undefeated Hlatschwayo and D. Hopkins on short notice, KOs Diaz (also undefeated and did it just as fast as Pacquiao) and gives Torres the war of his life twice and he sucks? And don't give me that "He was scared to do a trilogy" crap. They were scheduled to do it, but Torres couldn't make weight and moved up to JMW before retiring.
Does he have the best chin in the world? No. But saying he sucks is retarded. The uppercut he landed on Bradley would KO or leave just about any other fighter on noodle legs. And his last fight shouldn't even be accounted for. The guy was so weight drained that night that he can't even make 147 right now! He was scheduled to face Feliciano at 147 on Andre Ward's undercard and was so out of shape that his trainer believed he would have taken the same beating if they hadn't pulled out. Expect him to return at 154. So imagine a JMW like Kermit Cintron trying to drain down to 140. Do you think he'd beat Kaizer Mabuza? Hell no. And it's not like Mabuza landed one punch that changed the fight. Holt was beating him in the first two rounds until he gassed and that's when Mabuza took over, which wouldn't have happened if he made 140 effectively.
I look at Holt the same way I look at Judah. Very skilled, but lacks discipline.
Thats true, first fight was fishy but second fight is way worse in my opinion.
HEADBUTT ALL THE WAY
Yes, I remember that, but considering Torres is such a hometown fighter it didn't bother me as much.
Holt wanted the 3rd fight and Torres pulled out at the last minute.
Holt was a good fighter. I don't know where he stands now, but he was a dangerous man years ago. He has explosive power and speed, and a good jab when he uses it. His liabilities have always been his chin and focus.
If you watch the first fight you'll see the hometown ref and fans were terrible. They started throwing things in the ring, and when Kendall dropped Torres they purposely wet the floor, so Torres could recover in his corner. The ref also ignored Holt completely when he complained. And the stoppage was kind of premature.

That was clear headbutt and Torres was hurt bad cuz of that headbutt.

He lost by KO against Ricardo Torres and he would lost again if he didnt head butt him.
He is B level fighter in my opinion!

There is a dreadful need among some to diminish nearly everyone in the sport. Everyone's not that good, which means that everyone they beat is even worse, and so on and so on and so on.
How good a fighter is varies on where they are on their career, and sometimes even by their performance on the night and the circumstances of the fight, including their opponent.
There will often be no broad brush for painting a fighter's whole career based off their most recent performance.

Did you even read my post? He was dangerously weight drained in that fight. Imagine Kermit Cintron or Alfredo Angulo trying to cut down to 140. Mabuza would knock them out in that scenario too. That's how much he struggles to make weight. He was supposed to return at 147 on Ward-Green's undercard but he couldn't even make 147.
Thats his own fault. Lazy, no heart and it shows in the ring. I'm sick of so-call professionals saying their having hard times making weight in the class they fought their entire career in.
Where do you get Angulo from? He's always fought at jr mid. The vast majority of Holt's career has been at 140. Only a lazy fighter would have problems with staying at their native weight.

Agreed. To me Holt has the skills to be a top 5 jr. welterweight right now but he lacks discipline and is lazy with his career. For whatever reason he doesn't take boxing serious anymore.
But he's definitely a very good fighter: great power, good hand speed, moves well around the ring and overall a very good technical fighter.
Kendall Holt had probably the most talent at 140. Speed, power, reflexes, top notch boxing ability. He just was INCREDIBLY undisciplined and wouldn't throw his beautiful jab or punch enough to win rounds.
Couldn't have said it better, and nice avy :fing02:
You always deliver :)
Holt's just got heavy hands. That last Torres fight he won by headbutt-hook combo.
Mabuza just knocked that fool out. Bum chin, no heart, and poor desire out weigh what skill and heavy handedness he does have.
First time I saw he he was getting knocked out by an old bum in Chicago. B-level.

Exactly. I'll openly admit that my favorite fighter doesn't have enough pop to be competitive at 147, needs a better trainer if he wants to go anywhere and needs to focus more on boxing instead of slugging because he makes a lot of mistakes when he slugs. Heck I'll even admit that I believe Amir Khan would beat Bradley right now. But other people act like their favorite fighter is god and discredit the careers of fighters who oppose them. Guys like Kendall Holt, Juan Urango and Lamont Peterson are all solid opposition, and Devon and Bradley deserve all the credit in the world for beating them, especially the way they did. Bradley would never in his life KO Urango, and Alexander would struggle against Peterson's style. So both have their own great qualities.
real talk right here, i hate nuthuggers......

those losers are just going to boxrec looking up records then coming back and Posting "this or that fighter is not that good" lol
or they go on youtube see a clip or two then comeback and post "This Fighter Is Not That Good" :nonono:
it is amazing to me how people are so quick to point out the weakness of other fighters but when it comes to their own favorite fighters they are absolutely BLIND to the favorite fighter weaknesses and most of the hate is coming from Undercover Khan fans who are mad at the fact that Khan is not getting the respect they want him to get and some NEW Alexander fans

Kendall Holt has always been a c class fighter.
Then I suppose Cotto is a D class fighter for getting dropped and almost getting knocked out by Ricardo Torres who took the fight on two weeks notice... :pat:
You don't know boxing, Kendall Holt is a solid fighter and was a world champion.
A focused Kendall Holt is a danger to anyone at 140.
yup, just like zab judah.............look at his career. and KH is not as talented as judah on top of that.
always the what IF.......
