I don't rate Fury one bit. If he wasn't huge and strong he would not be a boxer
I think anybody in the top 8 in the world but beat him and most would stop him
Yeah but it's in another country and when did the fight air in england?in the morning?
Excellent point!! It didn't start until 5am for us
But to be honest I think over the last 10 years we have become used to having to stay up all night to watch the fights in Vegas
Who cares if there is a 2 lb catchweight? Nobody is golng to feel sorry for Floyd when he walks into the ring with a dude that is going to outweigh him by 20 lbs. Floyd haters will always find something to bidtch about. Always...
but the best fight in boxing in terms of box office was just made and like I said in another thread, kudos to Floyd, Canelo, and Shaefer for making this fight. Most didn't think Floyd would even fight in September, nor fight Canelo. So now they have something to cry about. Everyone wins!
This ^^^^^
I aint a big Floyd fan but he can never win with the fans can he
people said he wouldnt fight Canelo - He is
people said he wont fight Canelo this year - He is
People were saying he would make Canelo fight at 147 - Not happening
We are 4 months from the fight!! Canelo will easily make 152 for the weigh in and will weigh about 170 on fight night so what is the issue? Apart from people looking for bullshit excuses to talk shit and being little bitches instead of just being happy the fight is happening in the first place
how doesn't it matter when he said it Alvarez is young and growing it's obviously got to have a time limit on it with that being said I still don't have a problem with the fight being at 152 except for the hypocrasy of Floyd
I agree
but at the end of the day Canelo has obviously agreed to fight at 152lbs right now!
People are going on as if Floyd/Ellerbe have held a gun to his head and made him sign
Frampton has massively fucked up here!!
Sounds like him and Barry wanted more pennies
They should atleast see if Frampton becomes a world wide success before attempting moves like this!!
Big mistake!
Apparently thats the main place they're looking at, neutral ground.
Really?
I wouldn't really call that neutral. I would fully expect the vast majority of Dutch fans to be backing Kessler.
Might happen down the line but by the sounds of the interview and what Hearn has been saying its a defense of the titles first.
I'd like Kessler 3 if i could make it to Holland, but i'd love Ward 2 because the winner would get a hell of a lot of respect from the boxing world
Why Holland?
:rofl::rofl:
Alvarez offers a catchweight a year and a half ago, that means he wanted a catchweight all this time of course!
Doesnt matter when he said it.
If Canelo is comfortable at that weight and they agreed to it and brought that to the table then Floyd cant be blamed for supposably forcing him to fight at a catchweight
I love manny but he aint Top 5 GOAT
Ali, SRL, SRR, Whitaker, Duran, Henry Armstrong, hearns etc
He is more of a top 50 of ATG
Why Hearns
I agree with the others but what has Hearns done to be rated so highly?
This guy has a beautiful style, speed, quickness, power, reflex, chin.
This is guy is easily one of the greatest boxers I ever seen.
I really don't see anyone, no past great MW or such beating a prime Martinez.
Plus Margarito cheated and Williams and everyone else got fluke victories.
Maravilla!
If you believe that other middleweight EVER could beat a prime Martinez than i honestly hope you never ever post on this site again!
Khan beats Mayweather later on this year in his next fight, Khan instantly get elevated to the number 1 p4p spot? Unlikely Khan beats him but if he pulls off a huge upset is he the head honcho in the p4p rankings..?
In other words... does beating Mayweather instantly make you p4p #1?
No
Cos like you said it's a huge upset. It would make him the champ because thats how it works but P4P rankings are different
On any given Sunday anybody can beat anybody else. But if they fight 10 times you know that one of the fighters would win the other 9
Juanma Lopez
I thought he was going to be an absolute superstar but nope!
Same with Gamboa really
Both good but I thought they were going to be worldwide sensations like Pacquiao became
I think he has come on but nowhere near the amount people make out.
You'd think Kessler has no chance in this fight the way some people are acting and that is just not the case.
Kessler is a real threat and could easily come away with the win here.
I think it will be an extremely close fight but Froch will get the benfit of being on home turf and come away with a 116-112 UD
it's sad how these boxers blow their money. it seems like this is the trend with many boxers. they go broke at the end of their career then they just fight for money. I hate to see these guys suffer same fate as holyfield or even Roy jones.

Roy Jones isnt broke is he?
I assume you're talking about fighting too long? In Roys case I can see why it happened. Imagine once being so untouchable. It must be so hard coming to terms with the fact you just aint got it anymore
I agree with a hell of a lot of what Paulie says, but, I think the fighters he mentioned were that great (Robinson and Leonard) they would find other ways to win if fighting Floyd. I'm not saying they would win, but if Floyd tried to "disarm" them then they would make a change themselves to then switch up the fight again, meaning they can attack again.
Thats what the best of the best do.
